Weight 127.6, calories 1272. It really amazes me how quickly I gain when I eat stuff I shouldn't.

More depressed than even before. DD left yesterday. DH continues his downward spiral. I didn't bother going to the show we had tickets for last night as it would be more work and coping with nastiness than I wanted to deal with.

Sorry I missed your birthday Devon. It looked like you had a great celebration! Bonnie, you are the most beautiful AND shapely pregnant woman I've seen for a long time. Cecily, WTG on losing the weight - I'll have to look into this keto... Welcome back Shirley - I guess I caught your stress eating (more like depress eating for me). Diane O, you do so well with your weight and introspection. Shel's level of activity amazes me - so lucky that it allows you to lose at 1500 calories. And Diane S, how nice that are enjoying your nephews visit. Love those conversation cards, DD! Paula, I saw your CaringBridge Post. I'm so glad the boys are doing well. I need to set up a communication forum like that for DH.

Have a mainly good Monday!

I know that when I don't attend to #5 & 6 everything else is impacted. DC was in rare form yesterday and I didn't assert my healthy boundaries sufficiently. I'm up three pounds over night, with on plan eating yesterday. Had some salty mussels and not enough water yesterday... I know I just have to stay the course and I'll be back down. We're going out to lunch and then bowling with friends. There is some shoveling in my near future too !

Shel, I must admit to an unhealthy advantage related to stress eating. When DC really upsets me, my passive aggressive disordered eating self stirs, and a little voice says, "He doesn't want me too thin... I can control that quick, fast and in a hurry !" The potential for exercise anorexia and restrictive eating is alive and well in me, and I have to remain aware and exert control over my life in healthier ways. Thanks for the opportunity to disclose and be accountable.

I'm so sorry you're feeling low, Liz. I know you have the Alzheimers support group, but I can't remember, do you ever see a therapist 1 on 1? I don't think I could handle something as huge as what you're going through without seeing one regularly, just for the release valve factor and validation of what I'm feeling if nothing else.

Weight 172.8 I tracked my food for the first time yesterday using an app called Carb Manager and had 20g net carbs (it subtracted the 16g of fiber from my raspberries), 113g of protein, 113g of fat (!?), and 1697 calories. And down another 0.8 lbs.

I have the trainer late today and it's a beautiful day out, so dog walks are a must. The countdown to my friend staying with me has begun, and I didn't start cleaning the spare room out yesterday. He said just move the junk to another room. I said, that's how I got in this trouble in the first place!!

Update - TMI, but that IUD is totally doing its job, thank science! Nice to have my life back in that department...

Note to self, my mood is 1000% better when my weight/eating are controlled. Why I can't remember that when it's not controlled and have that spur me to want to fix it is a mystery. I need to feel a crisis point to want to make a change. I wish my trigger to act was more sensitive than that.

Happy President's Day all! Hope everyone got the day off. Go get your new mattresses at the sales!

No need to apologize! I am sorry you are having a tough go. Nothing I can say except that I am in your corner in any way I can be. Remember doing for yourself first and relying on others are not selfish choices. They are choices that will keep you strong for DH when he/you need the strength the most.

Because I'm naughty.... Look what our friend Ann is up to in her absence from our board... The young man she's with is no slouch either (though I cropped him out...) LOL!
