We finally got Best Buy to admit they charged us to extend our service plan without authorization, and they reversed the charges to DC's credit card. We went out to lunch to celebrate that and DC's 65th birthday. The yard and dogs are perpetual mud, which is much better than a frozen solid tundra !
Hope everyone's tummy's are feeling better and ready to cooperate for a healthy day ! DD, it is going to be so hard to head back home !!! Peps the beast !! Our hero !! BB, continue to be open to the opportunities known and yet to be discovered ! Cecily... welcome home... leave the scale alone for a couple of days !! Yes, David... please let us know how things are going !

Diane O, you're up early today! That's a lot of steps you clocked yesterday in cold weather country. Congrats too re your other "non-scale victories" yesterday, especially triumphing over Best Buy. Sometimes those guys are great, and sometimes they make me "Take a time out!" insane!
Weight this morning down only a smidge, but in the right direction! :)
I'm up early, too, doing French homework. My lungs are a bit clearer, although tummy is still a little queasy at times.
Yesterday I went walking in Audubon Park twice. It was an absolutely gorgeous day here -- the prettiest yet, in the mid-70s with a lovely breeze. Walking was more about pleasure than exercise. Everyone in the park was smiling. Golfers were doing shout-outs to park walkers and vice versa.
Yesterday afternoon I also got to the gym and lifted weights (not as hard as last week, but I got there!) and did a half hour of lovely yoga afterward.
This morning I'm headed back to French class where we'll start verb conjugations. Tonight is Girls' Night Out, which means a single glass of wine and an unspicy appetizer. The only fancy thing on the menu tonight will be my Mardi Gras earrings. :)
Today's Theme: Continue to help my body heal.

DH is going to adult day care for the first time today. I am going to tell him he is going to a "club" where he will have lunch, play games, listen to music/dance and make his own sundae in the afternoon. I hope he is okay with it. I visited yesterday after hearing how pleased some of the other members of my local support group were. It is $13/hour, though today is free. Not cheap but hopefully worth it. I'll probably use it on a regular basis if all goes well. While he is there, SIL and I are going to a fashion show in which several of our friends are modeling.
Below is a picture of a beautiful creation by a local spider (LOL). Have a thinking Thursday!

Good morning!
Out my window, the neighborhood is glamorous with sparkling snow. Dressed up with no place to go which is how a lot of people feel that simply don't have the right cars to get out of their own neighborhoods. The snow that fell on Sunday and Monday is still with us. Only the most major roads are mostly clear, most of the side streets are caked with snow/ice. We are in the lowlands and this sort of weather hits us once or twice a year so we don't have a lot of money invested in snow/ice removal equipment. More snow expected over the weekend which we can't freakin' imagine. (I know, I know....we are weather wimps but we are who we are.)
The dogs are wrapped in blankets warmed by the dryer. Life is good.
I have only skimmed the boards in the last couple of days but thoroughly enjoyed warmth, success, and the excitement of new possibilities. Ann, seek medical care earlier rather than later as needed for that lung! Maybe for the GERD, too, if that is still a problem. You might need a short course of high intensity GERD meds.....nothing wrong with that. Don't be afraid of PPI's if needed.
Ok, gotta run. Or slide. Or, at least avoid falling down.

155.5 today. We had fish last night cooked in butter and lime. Any old fish is good with that on it. Still wishing I could try the more exotic fish from Florida and NOLA.
Yay Ocean Diane for triumphing over the evil empire of Best Buy. I think Sears did something similar to me on our refrigerator warranty. Boooooo!
Liz so glad you are trying the adult day care. Yeah, call it a senior club. I have mentioned before that my grandmother did well at it. They had lots of music and she did quite a bit of art work. She also came home with brightly colored fingernails! A lady who never in her life wore polish. Hope it works out. And that spider made a lovely web.
Shel. perhaps you can go snow shoeing around your neighborhood. Be safe in the car. Take the snow shoes with you just in case. Our bit of snow is long gone; probably not to return for another 10 years.
Yep, take care of those lungs Ann. You need them for developing a good French accent. Je suit, tu es, il est, vous etes, nous sommes .....Dang autocorrect.
Studio time today after some pre prep of gallery items. It was a slow day at the gallery yesterday made only slightly exciting by unsnarling an issue with our rent and our landlady coming by and deciding this one jewelry case needed rearranging. Talk about your busybody! Meanwhile I did leg squats. My fitness goal is to be able to squat down to the floor and stand up without holding on to anything. I could do this when I was 1n the 120's but not now.
DH has lunch out today so he will bravely go forth to a restaurant about 8 blocks away. Gives me little time to throw out stuff while he is not looking......
Peps the Beast indeed. How cool is that to be known as such at your gym. No I am not going to Vallejo shows. Our nephew is coming to visit.
Thats it for now. Time for coffee and FB. Diane S
