Weight 125.2, calories ? again.

I realized the value of a respite yesterday. DH was not having a good day just prior to SIL and I leaving for an afternoon with our friends. But we made it! We had ****tails and appetizers at a rooftop bar overlooking the water with a large group. Part of the group is in the picture below (SIL is on the far right and I am the next one in).

Today I am going to go check out the senior day care and go to the Alzheimer's support group. Have a winning Wednesday!

Whoops! This morning's weight is a big surprise, especially after the recent nausea and yesterday's low calories. But as several of you have pointed out lately, it's not the scale number that matters as much as the consistency of our process and lifestyle. Therefore, I commit that my calories today will look like yesterday's, and today's movement will be more than yesterday's.

I do feel better this morning. Good sleep last night, even less phlegm in my lungs, and tummy feels OK, although yesterday I did feel nauseated a few times, but didn't throw up.

Today's Theme: I will respect myself and my body.

P.S. Liz, that's a great photo of you all -- you are so pretty. And Cecily, Buenos Aires sounds like a good spot to spend some time. So many others who've been there feel the same way. And howdy to everyone else. This morning I caught up on all your posts. Good to know where you are, how you are, and what you're thinking about. :)

I must say Anne that I am reading your reports of your illness gingerly, as nauseated visit is still too recent. Learning I could throw up post sleeve wasn't something I wanted to know, but yes, it is possible. Hope the lingering nausea makes it's departure now.

DD, I definitely thought about your and your hubby's recent travails when that mess was going on with me, but my troubles were nothing compared to your illnesses. So glad you're relaxing in better climes right now.

Yours sounded pretty bad!! The reflux and aspiration=not good. Keep an eye on it. The great weather here is unwound me into a puddle of contentment. We return tonight. I feel nibbles of concerns on the edges of my good aura, but I am gently pushing them away. Plenty of time for reentry once I'm on the plane.

Weight: 180.6. That hurts

Liz-beautiful photo

Ann-sorry aobut your recent illness. Unfortunately I'm a champion thrower upper, especially post-op.

Peps-I'm so glad you're rocking this! Yes consistency is definitely key. Unsexy, but key.

I think I should just go back to bed today.

My grandma has been acting very strange. She insists that she lost her cell phone at the grocery store because she called me "from the grocery store." Except my call records indicate she called me from her home phone. And then it turns out she hasn't used her cellphone in forever and I remembered why--because she broke it and so we got rid of that and she refused to use a new one. Well now she's insistent that we are lying to her and she must go look for her (9 months ago) phone which she left at grocery store. I told her she probably shouldn't drive today (I'm wondering if she had a mini stroke or something) and she told me I couldn't make her.

I literally turn off the car engine (stressed and worried), walk in to drop Becca off at the babysitters and the babysitter tearfully tells me that she needs to go ahead and tell me that she canno****ch Becca anymore. Honestly, I'm kind of emotionless. I did not have that on my radar today. She loves Becca and I'm not sure what exactly is going on. I knew she couldn'****ch two. But wow. She tells me she'll give me time to look for someone I'd like...so I have about a month.

This was all before 8:30 am. Not my day.

So sorry, Bonnie. That's a lot to deal with on your way to work.

Hugs!
