Morning, all and sundry ship's crew and passengers. (I love the boat analogy, Shel).

I have been following the many threads, activities/delightful musings, challenges, etc. People! You are indeed working it- pumping iron on all levels. So well done!

My life-experiences recently are calm (physically as well as mentally) in comparison to the excitement I find here. I believe I have purposely put myself in this position- this thought, recently arrived at, changes my attitude from feeling dull and static towards experiencing contentment. Resting is a form of wellness. Yep, I'm a bum and it's ok.

So I (being ok with having nothing of note to contribute) post all love, support, encouragement and happiness in your company. I see you-

Theme for the day (not surprisingly). Let it be.

Greetings Mindful Ones

155 today, down from yesterday's unmentionable number.

Such interesting thoughts today. Shel, I read the Artist's Way article and loved it and the contrast Ann provided. Every time I am tempted to read such a book or follow some such guru, something in me says "nah, I don't wanna be a sheep". I secretly think I know whats best for me but should be more open to learning from the journeys of others. Too much navel contemplating on only one cup of coffee.

But I love your poem lines Ann. Much imagery and ideology in just a few words. You get the "sheep" aversion.

Shel, I remember as a kid we always said "quit it" which came out as "quidddit". And the parents always said "cut it out" like changing behavior using giant scissors.

Bonnie150, glad you are comfortable with living in the slow lane for a bit. One of my many tapes is "get off your butt and do something useful" to which I reply "maybe later".

Liz I am very glad you are considering Aruba alone. It will do you good to get a break. Hopefully a family member will step up to stay with DH for a time. We have all had a glimpse of what your life is like caring for DH and it can't be easy. Go for it.

Its another slow rainy day here and I have gallery duty this afternoon. The place next door to the fudge. It will be slow so I must bring stuff to do. I should bring tax stuff but I would rather do crosswords.

Hey Shel, measles outbreak now in New York.

DH is still in pain and recovering slowly. Not much I can do for him except sympathize and make soup. Food as medicine?!? How can I comfort DH without stuffing him with food?

Yeah, we are all in the same boat. Some are rowing hard and others are in deck chairs eating hors d' oerves. (me).

Time for more coffee. Diane s

I am one very peaceful content lady here in tranquil St. Petersburg Beach. We got up late, had breakfast poolside, packed our beach bag and little cooler, and then camped out in a rented cabana for the day. After a 5pm nap, we went to the beach side bar where we shared a mixed seafood basket and listened to a really rocking blues group. Now back in our room as I ruminate on how much better wild caught shrimp is than farm raised shrimp. If the weather is good tomorrow, we'll repeat today's agenda.

Man, DD, you're so smart to have flown down there. It sounds wonderful. NOLA is much more comfy than Missouri right now, but there's definitely NO beach weather anywhere nearby.
