Of course I am a Newhart fan! Loved all of his shows. But, I don't specifically remember him saying stop it tho it is easy to imagine.

No weight, at Kevin's place.
We will go to Aidan's power lifting meet today, then out for dinner and then a dueling piano show. Should be fun.
Still trying to decide what to do for the big game tomorrow that we really don't have much interest in. I'm sure it will revolve around unhealthy eats though. Happy my small capacity doesn't allow me to go too far off the rails even when not making the best food choices. I do try to make wise choices otherwise though.
Still trying to thaw out here! At least we are above zero.
Have a fun weekend. I'm so glad you can enjoy life!

I am at a strings event....judged solos, groups, etc. Very different from power lifting but same teen enthusiasm and vibe.
I know that inside they are roiling with hormones and insecurities but I am impressed by all

Another good night's sleep was had.
But yowzah! Another NOLA weekend has begun! I'm blaming the last 200 calories I consumed yesterday on a Kind bar. And on the two gin martinis someone else made and handed to me in the spirit of TGIF hospitality. And some salted nuts someone else made me eat, several times. And a homemade dinner featuring lamb meatballs and butternut squash roasted with real Vermont maple syrup that someone else cooked, not to mention the dark chocolate passed around the room later in the evening while we were watching "Roma," the beautiful, moving movie by Mexican director Alfonso Cueron that's nominated for a 2019 "Best Movie" Academy Award (and notably NOT a "Best Foreign Film"). Click here for a movie review with which I completely agree, but that's chock-full of plot spoilers.
This morning I've been to the Farmer's Market for wild arugula (the vendor said it's more peppery than "tame" arugula), cherry tomatoes, mini cucumbers, broccolini, and fresh drum.
Today is another "spa day" of walking in the park, pumping iron, doing yoga, and enjoying the hot tub. I'm incredibly grateful every day I'm here not to be suffering in the brutal cold like so many of y'all and other friends up north. Even Missourians are suffering lately.
Tonight is flamenco guitar and dinner at a Mexican restaurant. I'm sure that won't be a problem at all.
Today's Theme: Le lundi arrive ... laissez les bon temps rouler!

Soaking ALL of it up! The Ozarks don't offer ANY New Orleans at all. :)

Funny about Roma! Two neighbor ladies went to see it the other day at a special showing at a local theater showing Academy Award nominee films. My 84 year old British neighbor said she was so enticed by the beginning of the movie with the trickling water that she knew she was going to love it. At the end of the movie she turned to her companion and apparently both asked each other, "Do you know what the movie was about?"
LOL!
Bless her heart.
