February Finally! February 1, 2019
LOL on bathroom sharing. And Justice does come scratching at the door too when he wants to know where I am!

My dogs (including the 4 lb Terrior) head butt the door. I have talked to them about privacy but in truth I love that they want to be near. That doesn't not apply to the 2 legged critters in the house.

Winter breaks and spring breaks are coming which mean WA folks are headed your way! (Measles apparently has a longish incubation period.) Hopefully they fly over you on their way to Disney.

I'm still sore from my gym workout on Wednesday. And because the internet says I should wait one more day before working out again, I'm taking her advice. Instead, I'll do yoga today.
Last night I was very hungry, and my dinner and evening nibbles at home reflected that. For dinner I had lots of shrimp, a pepper sauce which I made all by myself, and roasted veggies. Then after dinner I had cheese, some crackers, an apple, and a Kind bar! And I'm not even pregnant! Obviously, this means I cannot buy anymore Kind bars, even if they're on sale at four bars for five bucks! Damn, I knew those things would be trouble.
And again last night I slept great -- nine hours! I'm so grateful for the good sleep I'm getting lately. While journaling recently, I realized that although I do have plenty of energy most of the time, sometimes my body just feels pooped. That's surely due in part to last year's stresses and to the bald fact that my body has never been 73 years old before.
BTW, this past week I've been struggling with a long-distance sibling conflict. I won't bore you with the details (we're both to blame), but boy oh boy is that silliness distracting and exhausting. It's also embarrassing to observe (in myself and others) how committed human beings are in conflict situations to being the person who was right - or at least the one who was LESS at fault. Blush!
Today's Theme: Adulting is hard. But eventually we have to do it.

Been there, done that with sibling conflict. Exactly as you are feeling. Sigh...

Thanks, Liz. It's not just that my sibling has no clue how to resolve conflict without turning into the World's Greatest Victim, but that I waste so much energy mentally protesting (even if only to myself) that It's Not My Fault!
I really gotta learn how not to agonize over this ****

There's one left.
Want to bet whether I'll throw it away or eat it?
BUT ... I will NOT buy anymore!

Greetings Coffee Lovers
Don't want to post my weight. I am up - I think due to PPP (poor potty performance).
Trying a new coffee blend today. Its pretty good but the old one is better.
Ocean Diane that marsh place looks so cool! It has warmth and relaxation written all over it. Great idea. I wish you were going tomorrow! And I see it is equipped with kayaks. Lots of bay and ocean kayaking around here.
Hey BB, sounds like an interesting podcast. I need to get into those since I really like information radio like PBS. Just can't get into today's pop music. Makes me a fuddy duddy. (autocorrect typed muddy buddy). Have a good time with Becca this afternoon. GL with the investment properties.
Liz, glad you have some fun people visiting. And Shel (or Ann?) is right - you need your own bathroom.
Not much planned today - it will soon be raining. Studio time and I swear I am going to get that kitchen table cleared off.
DH is continuing a slow but steady recovery. He is still using a reduced amount of pain meds. Mostly sitting in his recliner with a pillow on his lap and dog on the pillow.
The leftover fish and chips was good but I ate too much and felt crummy. So this restaurant meal was a lunch for DH, a dinner for each of us last night, and there is still more than enough for another meal. What is wrong with this picture? It occurs to me we should just go out to dinner twice a week and have the leftovers in between and never cook dinner again!
BB I like the concept that a goal without a plan is just a wish. So true. Years ago one of my more successful weight loss efforts involved having about 3 rules: 1: No french fries at lunch -ever. Just a sandwich. 2. No food after dinner except a fruit or glass of skim milk if I am truly hungry. 3. Walk a couple of miles per day. I lost a lot of weight doing these. Of course I gained it back but its a much simpler concept than tracking everything. Today I would have to add a few more rules relating to protein and water.
Well time for more mediocre coffee. I think I will splurge and go back to my favored blend. Cheers. Diane S
