Wednesday has literally whisked right by! It is a late check in day for me.

Shel, thank you for the props in your post re: dieting! Much appreciated.

Weight was so unpleasant today, I'm choosing to stick my head in the sand like an Ostrich and not post it today. The scale reading alone should have been incentive enough to stick to my eating plan today. LOL! However, it was not.

The food fairies, the Diet Demons, God, or perhaps the Food Fates, who knows *****ally, decided that it was not enough that I had committed to 30 days of healthful eating geared to weight loss and sustainable behavior changes. NO! Little Bianca arrives with her birthday treats today. The treats are not cookies or cupcakes or some kind of kiddie candy. No, they are Bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes. A personal Kryptonite. REALLY?

I am proud to affirm I did not eat a Bundtini. When I got some delicious cream cheese frosting on my thumb while helping serve the cakelets to the kids I deliberately wiped it of my thumb with a napkin instead of sticking my thumb in my mouth and licking off the frosting. WIN! Those verfluchte cakes were in my room all effing day!

I am going to have to adjust some of the portions on this eating plan. Lunch, though a single sandwich made me too full. I think what I will have to do is rethink the sandwich option. I'm using sprouted Ezekiel bread, but two pieces of bread plus protein and a cup of greens on the sandwich is more than I can comfortably eat. I think if I make it an open faced sandwich I will fare better. Not sure. Maybe an ounce less of protein????

So far 48 oz. of water. 16 more to go to minimum. Though the author would prefer double that in a day.

Back to working out yesterday after my my cold induced hiatus. Oh boy, did it feel great! We did a complete body workout in two separate sets. The first focused more on legs/lower body and lower back and upper chest. The second set was abs, mid back, lower chest, and triceps. Felt good to sweat and breath hard.

I had a very positive mirror experience yesterday while at the gym. I was doing a plank, tuck and roll on a bench with a large exercise ball. I looked over at the mirror and lo, what did I not see? My belly hanging down. I saw a super strong person exhibiting great form and a strong plank. Yay me!

Going to see the Wizard of Oz at the movie theater tonight. 2019 is the 80th anniversary of release of the movie, which was originally released in August of 1939. If you have never seen it on the big screen as it was meant to be seen, you should try to see it at least once! It is really quite spectacular now that it's been restored. It has been my favorite movie since I was 4 years old. I am a die hard fan of the movie, love it's sentimentality, the music, the score, and all the editing errors (especially the scenes where Garland's not wearing the Ruby slippers - during the living apple tree scene - and the changing lengths of her pigtails in during the scene where she meets the scarecrow!).

Behold the wickedness of the Bundtini! The most delicious, moist little cake that will ever pass your lips. And yes, that is a big old swirl of the best cream cheese frosting EVER! (Can you tell I'm proud of myself for not eating one of these babies?! Oh, Yes I am! LOL!)

Ha! My sil served those at her wedding. My first and only encounter with them. That was 3 years ago, and I still remember the frosting!!

Nothing Bundt Cakes, eh? Well, that explains something -- like why that name on the top of a store in my NOLA neighborhood caught my eye, and I "wandered" in the front door to ask what the hell is going on here?

I just assumed it was a local one-off shop. Had NO IDEA it's a national franchise of some sort. I didn't taste anything there either -- not sure how THAT didn't happen.

Anyway, it's good to know that it's comparable to crack cocaine. I'll try to avoid having my first taste -- the FREE ONE! ;)
