Peps, good luck on your new food pattern! But really I have been thinking about how you and Ron have a habit of bringing home treats for the other as a way to show you were thinking of each other during the day. Really, how sweet is that?
It makes me giggle the lengths we go to in this house to hide personal treats. But, that aside, it is the thought that I find so touching. I want to do more of that in my life for the people I care about. What a nice reminder. Honestly, this whole forum is full of good peeps that make we want to DO BETTER as a human being.
Doesn't Cecily wear luxury well? (Everybody nods)
DianeO, glad you are making plans and you have a fabulous shower to get warm in.
Must run,
Shel

Then you will probably appreciate that my first contact with Ron this morning in the kitchen involved grabbing him from behind around the waist, turning him to me and singing happy birthday to him in an Italian accent and planting a big one on him! After 28+ years we can still be cute and silly together.
Weight 125, pizza for dinner last night (2 small slices, no end crust, but still...). I think we are going to dinner tonight with visiting friends. Since I'll probably get fi**** will actually be a healthier meal.
Other than that, we are just waiting for a warmup. It is sunny but was 42 this morning. Weather Channel says it will begin to warm on Thursday reaching 69, then warmer daily until it stays in the high 70s as far out as they project. I hope so as DD arrives on 2/10 for a week.
We received news that one of DH and SIL's cousins just lost his 49 year old wife to cancer. You just never know what the future will bring. I've stopped telling DH about deaths as he grieves, then forgets, then will grieve again if mentioned again.
And I'm thinking a lot about one of our OH compatriots who I know from the VSG menu thread. She used to weigh in the high 400's but now is so afraid to eat that she has been hospitalized with anorexia. She is getting help for her mental health issues, which I hope will work for her. She is young and is such a caring young woman. It is so sad that she is struggling.
Have a thoughtful Tuesday.

How terribly sad about our OH compatriot! So terribly sad, but it goes to show that anorexia is the opposite side of the pendulum swing as obesity. Different manifestations of the same disorder. So, so sad... my heart aches for that woman. I don't go on the OH VSG board any more so I don't know if I would even know who it is.
Devon, I think it's Mershmallow (spelling)? She posted there about being in a residential program these days.

Oh my Cecily, you really are making me want to cruise! And I can't!! Well nearly. They won't let pregnant women cruise once they're 24 weeks (could have a viable delivery after that point/need access to medical care, etc.)
I do know for sure I'm going on a cruise (my first?) over New Year's next year!
I really have the travel bug. Trying to be still and be in my moment. I want to enjoy this pregnancy as it's likely my last. I guess that's one thing I really enjoyed about yoga was the meditation aspect and checking in.
Drapes to be installed today. This process began over 6 months ago. Apparently we're one of the lucky clients whose fabric never came in. But then the seamstress kind of dropped the ball and never got back with us. Oh well, today's the day. Hoping we love them!
Today the babysitter is taking becca to a fun playdate. I'm really happy for Becca that she has such a wonderful babysitter. And for me too that I feel so confident about her in loving hands. But I do get twinges of jealousy. I haven't gotten to take her to library sensory days or to the kids clubs or even a playdate. Rich is quick to remind me she's still little and there is time, but I have to wonder "when?" I am attempting to right this. Unfortunately the library and the kids play place are only open weekdays/kids stuff. But I did set up a playdate this evening. And if the weather plays out like it should, I'm making plans to take her to the zoo on Sunday!
Greetings Cruise Fans
155. Thats that. Dinner was shrimp in soup. No clue what's for tonight. Maybe drive by the crab shack or some other fish thing.
DH is off to the eye doctor. He still has issues with his cataract surgery. Not sure where that is headed.
Yep Shel, its nice when loved ones bring treats. But we should all consider non food treats like flowers or a fancy magazine. (she said as she contemplated the Andes mints in the chocolate drawer). Easier said than done.
Well Scrabble today at a different venue. Works for me.
Quote of the day "Exercise is not optional". Someone came in and said this to me yesterday. They had been reading an article in Psychology Today. True words.
Glad you got a nice sleep Ann and you are rocking your exercise. Yay for French.
And Yay Ocean Diane for finding a warm place for a month. The weather reports sound downright brutal and anyone who can flee should do so.
And Cecily you are rocking the cruise experience. Devon is right. Try any food you want. Its not everyday you get such fancy treatment. Its part of the whole experience not to be missed.
Well gotta stop by the gallery today and finish rearrangements. There is much to do around here but I'd rather net surf and drink coffee. Cheers. Diane S
