Agreed!! Actually nowadays I'd prefer to go somewhere with less. It makes me feel bad not to eat it all...especially to not have a choice but to pay for monstrous portions. I try to share with DH where possible (or wls sis if she's there), in the future maybe babies will help, plan lunches or leftovers. But sometimes I just have to say--and I've found out it really helps if I say it aloud to myself--I enjoyed it as much as if I'd eaten the entire thing. I mean, if I'd eaten the entire thing, it's not like there'd be leftovers or whatever. I guess it's truly a waste either way, but this way it's not a waist.

Don't you hate that! Meals served on platter sized plates which is not all that good.

Greetings Sun Worshipers

So glad we are having a spell of sun here (yep us old people talk about the weather all the time) and I wi**** for the rest of you - except Shirley whom I hope gets some relief from the heat! I am imagining being a pregnant cow in your front yard at 110 degrees!

Liz glad you got a day out and that you have your friend to share thoughts with but you so have our sympathy with your issues with your DH. It is so not fair. I must remember to be grateful for my DH even when he is whining and moaning. We did have a follow up with his surgeon yesterday and his blood count is improving. He is still pretty blasted though.

More gallery banking today. Someone came in to one yesterday and bought a boat load of stuff and paid with cash so I have to get that out of there. And this weekend starts the annual gallery revamp so there is stuff to pack up and move around. Always something.

Well Ann, keep on rocking' the French. Un, deus, trois, quatre, cinq..... Dang it auto correct!!!

Hey Peps, Ardith wants me to go to shows in Vallejo mid Fed. I dunno, Tesla needs a lot of work. Are you going to those?

Diamond, Latin week sounds fun. Cha cha cha. One of our studio people is having a party at a local brewery tomorrow with a mariachi band.

Hey BB, this really is a season for you so try not to stress about food. Trying to watch weigh during pregnancy must be a special challenge.

Hey Shel, a backyard of moss sounds great. Ours looks like a hay field. Moss is where fairies and elves live.

Yow bandits and kidnappers on Sugarloaf. Cecily you are wise to do the train ride. Hope you are having fun aboard the ship. Share adventures.

Not much excitement here. I sort of like it that way. Diane S

Latino week has been fun up until now, but the rest of the weekend is cancelled. My husband can't keep anything down. I don't think he has been this sick for at least 12 years. He is such a dear, dear man. He apologized for waking me up when he was throwing up. As if. Anyhow I had to kind of put my foot down and cancel for tomorrow. I reminded him our friends would prepare all kinds of great food and drinks, that, even if he felt stronger, he couldn't ingest. Why have them go through all that trouble when he would be, at best, a wrung out guest. He agreed. I've had plenty of fun this week, so I can be content to take care of him and putter around the house. One wee****il a 5 day trip to Tampa!! Must get him well by then. :)

Pediculosis outbreak in Room 5! ACK!!!!!! I have never had such an outbreak in all my years of teaching. 7 girls all at once! Student Zero has had lice for at least a month without being treated. Poor thing had hundreds of active lice and hundreds of nits! The girls have all been treated. Student Zero has to go for a second treatment tomorrow. I'm thinking of telling the moms just to call their pediatricians and get a prescription for the topical pesticide and be done with it! Of course, they still have loads and loads of laundry to do, but at least killing the damn critters and nits is a good start! Needless to say, my head has itched like a mother f'er for two days! LOL! My classroom also smells like toothpaste from the lice spray I used all over the classroom and kids backpacks!

One day back at work wiped me out. Well, maybe it was the day back at work, plus two nights of marathon grooming to get ready for the Golden Gate Kennel Club shows at the Cow Palace. Well, I felt like poop again this morning - tired and drained - so I decided to forgo the shows this weekend. It's a benched show which means I would need to be up at 4:00 for an 8:30 ring time and then stay on the bench with Ace until 5:00 pm in the unheated hall open to the outdoors. I think that's probably not the best choice for my well being. I'm really looking forward to a weekend without plans. It feels almost luxurious!

I am feeling pretty good about my reasons for sticking to a weight loss regimen. I think getting down to some of those nitty gritty things has really helped. I am somewhat fascinated, yet disturbed, that I have that nagging feeling of not deserving to be a thin, healthy, person AND that if I do achieve some level of that I will abuse it. It's no wonder with those feelings that I have been pretty darn good at unintentional self sabotage.

Oh Devon! Lice! Youngest DD caught them from a friend once. Yuck, yuck and more yuck. And she had super long thick hair in those days so it was work getting them all out. I treated myself after because I felt like the creepy crawlies were going to invade.

I know you love your dog shows, but that routine does sound exhausting to me.

Afternoon All - oops - busy morning. Breakfast at my SILs at 8am. Lovely spending time with them - my niece, her hubby n son are up - she is due to have a little girl early March and is blooming.

Then home to clean up and have been helping DH with the last two uprights for the hay shed. We will do some work on cross beams tommorrow. Have also taken the mule (4wd buggy) and poisioned the driveway. Just checked the weather station and we have hit 100 - both are sweating lots. DH is just bolting the uprights in place then I think it will be time to head to the waterhole for a big swim and cool down. Will take two of the puppies - Miss Bella is supposed to be kept dry after her operation but just took herself down to the dam and wallowed in the mud - shes been hosed off much to her disgust.Least its cooler than yesterday - we reached over 111. Thank goodness for Air Conditioning.

Leftovers for dinner tonight. I made meat sauce which we stuffed into a huge marrow from my sil garden and baked in the oven. It was yum and should be even tastier tonight as its had time for the garlic n flavours to soak through. And best of all no cooking :) Win win

Hope you all have a wonderful evening

Take care

Shirley
