I like my pasta (and other sauces) over riced cauliflower. Who would have thought?
And that snowed in, sit by the fire day is what I really miss about not being up north in the winter.

Cecily, thank you for that view! I bet you didn't climb that mountain, but you COULD have, given what you do for exercise back home. :)

Our guide said there are 26 routes up Sugarloaf and all involve ropes and carabiners! So no climbing for us. You can climb to Christ the Redeemer, but given the heat, humidity and hostage takers that have frequented the trail lately, we were quite happy to take the funicular train up there! I think hiking it would have killed a few of us!
I arrived at Christ the Redeemer (Christo de Corcovado), via a taxi, and Sugar Loaf via the gondola. During the Olympics in Rio, broadcasters were trying to say Sugar Loaf in Portuguese, Pao De Azucar. But the Pao sound is very hard to make, and they ended up saying something that sounds like the word pau. Which is slang for dick, as in anatomy dick. So to Brazilians it sounded like they were saying sugar dick. Languages are hard.
