I forgot to post a pic from yesterday. There were clouds in the trees up top. This is full color, by the way -- like a different world, sometimes.

Weight 176.2 Not sure how that happened considering I ate several Reeses peanut butter eggs yesterday.

I worked out this morning and she took me through all the stuff she wants me to do on my trip. It was all things I could remember... pushup/plank super sets, goblet squats/chest press super sets with side planks in the middle, treadmill on an incline, tricep stuff, bicep rows, fire hydrants and another leg thing with ankle weights.

She wants to set me up with a guy who was in there training with another trainer. Apparently he was checking out my butt today when I was planking. Ha ha. The miracle of Lululemon workout tights. He seemed a bit old for me, but then I forget I'm well on my way to 50!

Anyway, off to walk the dog then take him to my Dad's...

Well who knows what could come out of that fix up? It may be worth trying out in a public place?

Not long now Cec :) Hope you have a wonderful cruise and cant wait to hear all about it

Go you with the training and why not organise a coffee catchup with the butt checker outer when you are back from your cruise :) You are a gorgeous person - that shines through way more than the miracle lululemon tights x

Well, good morning and happy MLK Jr. Day!

This cold absolutely SUCKS! Haven't had a doozy like this one in a while. Had a little asthma triggered coughing fit last night after getting up to pee. But the nice thing is I don't feel absolutely horrible. I just feel drained. The energy comes and goes. It's the muck and scratchy throat that are the real nasty, nasty.

Onward to the weight issues of the day... I am coming to the awareness that I have not identified a real, deep rooted reason for wanting to lose weight. Sure, there are all the ordinary reasons - better health, look better, feel better, wanting to be thin to look good. But those reasons are all very topical. They don't really hit the mark. So, one of today's jobs will be sitting in a quiet place for 30 minutes and really try to understand the deep rooted reasons for wanting to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight. I have some suspicions what is lurking there, but I want to find those well hidden wants and see if they can work to propel and motivate me to "my" allusive healthy lifestyle.

I have to go back and read what I missed from yesterday. Sounds like Diane S's DH came home.

As for football - so not my thing, but to be honest, I was hoping for a Saints vs. Chiefs SuperBowl. Why would I even care? Well, one of my dearest friends is from KC and chose to retire there. He loves his Chiefs! I wanted that for him. As for the Saints, well Ann is in NOLA so I was rooting for her current "home team". LOL. Doesn't matter one way or the other to me... I have yet to watch a Super Bowl and don't intend to start this year.

Taking the car in for an oil change, new wiper blades and an estimate on repairing the broken antenna (damn car wash!). Even with a cold, must get things done! I'm really not so good at the whole being sick thing.

I find even having a reason, it can still be hard to hold onto. When my mom was dying in the hospital, obesity and lack of healthy habits was definitely a contributing factor, I kept looking at her and thinking, "that is me 30 years if I stay on this path." That scared me straight for a few years, but as time passes you almost need an endless supply of new reasons as they wear off (at least mine do!) or they are slippery and elusive when you need to draw on them most.
