Weight 124.4, calories 1677. Arghh... I had 2 slices of 5 cheese pizza which were great but wow!

Speaking of wow, what two great football games were on yesterday. Both going to overtime! I'm not a huge football fan, but those were amazing. And I know no one other than New Englanders like me like the Patriots, but it always makes it more interesting for me to watch the Super Bowl when they are in it.

SIL, DH and I went to a show at the lodge, then watched the end of the game last night. Great show, but it was a really late night for DH and he was fighting me every step. And that was after a day of zombie-hood where he needed help with absolutely everything including how to take off and put on clothing. I hope he sleeps a lot today.

And it is a good day to sleep! It is 37 here this morning in Southwest Florida. The heat is on. Keep warm today!

T.G.I. Monday! Weather today will be coolish (high of 56) for down here, but sunny.

By now, most of you know that yesterday the L.A. Rams beat the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game either perhaps or likely (depending on your perspective) because the NFC referees ignored a shockingly rough pass interference (more like an assault) by a Rams player on a Saints receiver toward the end of the game. But never mind. I'm not bitter. Because I'm spending the winter in New Orleans and the sun is out today! :)

Yesterday's macronutrients (at top) don't look so great, except that most of my eating occurred in a high-stress situation (see above paragraph).

This morning I'll walk through the park to my destination gym to lift weights, then walk home, have a light lunch, take the streetcar downtown and do a walking tour of the French Quarter. I've been coming to NOLA all my life, where the Mississippi River curves east, north and south multiple times around the city. I'm only now starting to get all my directions figured out. And since I've scheduled some visits from friends and family members while I'm here, it's time I became a more competent tour guide.

I'm looking forward to a lovely dinner party tonight for seven of us at a friend's home just off Canal Street. The host is not known for "cooking healthy." Portion control will be my strategy.

Today's theme: Time to go adventuring!

I know you know your way around a gym. I wish I could munch popcorn and and watch you in action.

Thanks, Shel. :) I had so much fun in the gym this morning (my second time there). After spending 45 minutes using free weights and machines (this morning I did three sets of everything) I went into an empty, mirrored yoga room and did 25 minutes of sun salutations, stretching poses, and some restoration. What a glorious morning. Plus I logged 5,700 steps to and from the gym.

Bliss! :)

I'm sorry about the Saints! (and don't tell Liz, but for the Chiefs too!)

Thank you. This morning, I heard from a gym instructor that there was a lot of group therapy happening in morning exercise classes.

Man ... I want to call for a recount or a special election or a do-over of some kind.

We was robbed!

Weight: 176.4. At least that's more like it!

I felt so lethargic and under the weather yesterday. Our cable finally got fixed in time for us to watch second half of Chiefs v. Patriots. Great game except as a college football lover, I have to say I really detest NFL overtime rules!! Why not give EACH team an opportunity?!

Still feeling a little slow today but hoping to accomplish lots at work today. Already have Moroccan chicken tagine in the crockpot and lunch packed. Hoping I've planned for it to be a good day today.

Hey, that picture of you and DH was just beautiful! And leave that scale unopened til after Noodle arrives --- no need to add new metrics to your busy mind!
