It sounds like you are hitting everything on your list. Good for you! (PS, autocorrect had turned my fat finger typing into "everyone", not "everything". LOL - I corrected it)

Weight 123.6 (resulting from travel day over-eating and drinking), calories 867, very tired. Low calories were a win, as I was awake from 2-4:30 am and was thinking about food.
I am so tired of complaining and talking about DH. I want to be posting pictures of the beach.
But..
Today more alarms and strategically placed locks go on doors. Maybe this Namenda is causing more issues rather than helping. So far I don't see any pluses except when angry he can speak better and he is angry a lot right now. He still can't understand, but something (adrenaline) seems to help his speech (that was true previously when angry too). In addition he is extremely restless, pacing, dizzy, and wandering at night. Not worth it so far... I'm not sure I want to wait very long to decide it isn't helping. We do have an online meeting with the neurologist tomorrow.
We were supposed to go out with friends for dinner and a movie tonight. I'm not sure I want to deal with the aftermath. I'm hoping it warms up enough to go to the pool. If not, I'd like to take a really long walk with Justice.
Have a super Sunday!

Liz, you can both post beach pics and talk about DH. I think it is important to get your feels/thoughts out there to help you process. This is a great place to do that.
I'm glad you can talk to the neurologist tomorrow. Medications can be such failures sometimes ----- I don't know that is true in this case, so I don't want to give that impression. As you know, none of the memory drugs are obvious successes, even under the best of cir****tances. I'm looking forward to hearing if the neurologist has experience with Namenda making things a lot worse. Desperate families are usually just hoping to hold the status quo.
Also, just FYI, when I saw how wonderful Justice was at being a emotional dog for Paul, I couldn't help but feel some loss for you. You need Justice, too!

Good morning,
I posted about my non-Rainier snowshoe yesterday. I'm posting a picture of "Smudge" below....he was a snowdog at our destination....Lake something-that-starts-with-an-L. I'll post a lake pic, too, but it is ice/snow covered.
Ann, I didn't fact check that Spanish moss thing....but what our REI guide said (his day job is earning a PhD in biology) is that Spanish moss is less affected by temp than moisture. Both PNW and NOLA have lots of moisture. ETA, I tried to fact check and my initial google search makes it looks like they are different but (perhaps) distantly related? Certainly, southern universities say that Spanish moss doesn't grow much outside the south, certainly not up here.
Let me pause to say that the REI trips are made so much more enjoyable by the guides....what ENTHUSIASM in these folks. As one said yesterday, they can't get enough of talking about anything outdoors.
I'm not sure how I feel about cruise wear. Well, actually, I am sure I would be uncomfortable but would be happy to try the experience. Just what are people DOING after 6pm night after night? Can't wait to hear Cecily's impression.
I feel a pause in the rain, time for me to get moving. Enjoy the day!
Oh, almost forgot food report.....ate a more than I should have yesterday....I still need to MFP it, looking forward to calorie count! Onward!!!!!

Beautiful dog! Our park here in the south is full of Spanish moss hanging from the many live oak trees. It is one of the things we love about our little community.

Shel, I'll also follow up here on the Spanish v. PNW moss kinships. And what a handsome fellow Smudge is.
As always, your athleticism is so impressive. You truly inspire me.

Good Morning from our city home - DS and I drove home yesterday morning to avoid traffic - arriving just after lunchtime and had a very busy afternoon and evening. I was cooking and tidying as only here two nights then will be back at the farm. Stewed up some cherries for our neighbours and also made zuchinni loaves - sent 8 of those over too. Nice to be able to help out. Also made salmon mini quiches and a large one. Some food for the freezer.- Pics below.Doing big leg of lamb tonight for us - DH can live off the leftovers for the rest of the week after work.
Taking my Bella back to the vet this morning so they can check her lymph nodes to see if the cancer has spread. Not looking forward to it - have a longer appointment so we can discuss options etc. Then work for the rest of the day then I have to collect bags of sawdust for the chook house - will get some for SIL too. Then cooking n organising Busy one. My mum will pop over today as well so that will be nice.
