I do think we all need a "burn the bad stuff" party annually. Really!

I also think it was good that you said something to your grandmother, but it is hard for those in some form of dementia to understand. I do tell DH how I feel about some of the stuff he says when he is more receptive. They do become very self-centered. Which makes it all much harder...

Greetings Snow Birds and Wanna Be Snow Birds

154 today. I am lucky to live where it almost never snows provided I stay within my little coastal zone. Thanks for the snow picture BB. Beautiful. Its how I like to experience snow now - looking at a picture. To think I used to ski and wish for snow.

Hey way to go Peps and Ace. Group 2 not too shabby. Glad the glamper is fun too.

Liz hope you are safely in Fla by now. Sounds like you had a rough couple of days preparing. OceanDiane's idea is brilliant - make it all about Justice and keeping him happy. Not sure what you do with BIL. Think about that later I guess. Yeah dealing with people with memory issues can be so difficult. Hard to reason with them. BB glad you spoke up to your grandmother. Sounds like she has the ability to understand such conversations. If you don't speak up, who will?

Last night my older brother fell and broke his leg. He was out of town at the funeral of his wife's step mother. He was locally hospitalized and they are moving him today back to his home town hospital. There is some talk of surgery. I haven't spoken yet with SIL due to time differences and the fact that he may be in ambulance transit. This is my brother with the brain tumor. I am fearful. SIL recently had cancer surgery. Lots going on and none of it good.

Hey Ann, what are you going to write about? Great thing to do in NOLA. And what a deal 40cent trolly ride.

Usual chores on the agenda today. I need to get out and about and errands run before the rain sets in later in the day. Made the trip to VoldeMart yesterday and they didn't have most of what I wanted. Time to order from Amazon. But it wasn't crowded and I survived. I think I have a bit of Mall-o-phobia. Our Wallmart is in what used to be a fancy department store at one end of the big mall. They had tried to build a store but were voted down on the needed zoning change. There is a Sears store in this same mall and I bet Wallmart expands into it.

Stay warm all of you who are in the cold. Hug some puppies. Diane S

Like everybody else, I ... (1) love the "Voldemart" brand and (2) agree that BB did the right thing for sticking up with her aunt. Doesn't matter whether it improves Grandmother's future behavior, it was still the right thing to do. Good show!

It's Friday night in the Big Easy, but I'm pooped and staying home tonight. There's so much good music in this town I hate to waste a Friday night, but I'm listening to GREAT NOLA jazz on WWOZ (a great NOLA radio station featuring NOLA musicians). Have a big day tomorrow.

TGIF, everyone!

Weight 178 Not worried, I?m behaving myself foodwise and doing a lot of exercise

Liz, your BIL seems in need of a swiftly moving 2x4 to the noggin.

DianeO, excellent Justice suggestion!

Ann, your NOLA life is envious! I can hear the Zydeco music and smell the chicory coffee from here...

Shel, how heavy is your weighted vest?

BB, that snow is gorgeous! Sounds like sticking up for your aunt to your grandma was the right thing to do. She may not hold onto the feedback, but your aunt deserved someone in her corner.

Diane, Voldemart, ha! The store that dare not speak its name...

Today I hauled my old large-but-not-enormous suitcase out of the closet and weighed it. 14.5 pounds! So off to the luggage store to get a new bag. This one is the same size and 9.7 pounds. Better. Then on to Nordstrom to get a birthday present for my friend. We are celebrating our birthdays tomorrow at lunch.

I need to make a pit stop at the drugstore and bank, but don?t wanna. And I need to do my something active today, plus get this Christmas tree down. How did I ever work and get all this stuff done? Maybe I?ll walk to the drugstore and the bank for the old two-birds-one-stone treatment. Or three birds in this case...

Happy Friday all!
