Greetings Wonderous Ones

154 today. Last night I ate a few pieces of Ghiradeli chocolate that DH kept when I was doing the candy purge. Not good. Gotta unload those today. The studio table is like the teacher lounge so that's where they will go. Must get rid of this stuff since I don't even crave it that much. Its just THERE. Must be ELSEWHERE.

Didn't make it to Walmart yesterday. It was getting close to dark and I don't like being in the mall parking lot late. Dr. apt went too late as he was running behind. But I am grateful to have my doctor as there is a primary care shortage here. And his staff is wonderful - an old lady came in in pain and had trouble walking and the staff was super helpful in getting her in a wheel chair and making sure she was comfortable. I complemented Dr. on it. He is upping my anti-depressant a bit as I have been down in the dumps lately. Time to climb out. And leave the chocolate in the hole.

OceanDiane so glad you had some good therapy on your arm. Meditate on sending healing energy to that spot. A therapist once told me to do that on my gimpy hands. Its soothing and makes one feel like something useful is happening.

Ann, love your description of the NOLA place. I am picturing Spanish moss dripping from old trees and shuttered windows. Enjoy the French lessons and walking about. I am curious about whether there is still visible hurricane damage in parts of the city. Have you gone to look at those old cemeteries with above ground tombs? Read any Ann Rice books?

A friend is getting a new puppy so Peps you will be glad to know i loaned them a crate and ex pen. The pup will outgrow the crate but then they can get a bigger one. Always like to see a dog start off right.

DH is off to lunch with his buddies at an Italian restaurant. Of course he will come home with pizza. Gotta get out of this food hole.

Cecily yay for you for taking the hike on short notice. Like you, I must do at least an hour of coffee and computer cruising before I even think of going out. No morning appointments for me. Dog Chip has a teeth cleaning next week and has to go in early. I will get DH to take him. Cecily if you have exercise rhinitis then I have chair sitting rhinitis. Kleenex strategically placed all over the house.

Last night DH wanted to watch one of his GUY shows "Vikings". I dislike all the violence but told him to go ahead since I just don't pay attention. But then they chopped this guy's finger off and that just did it to me - partially because two doctors have told me I might need my bad finger amputated someday. Really creeped me out so I had to drink wine and eat chocolate. Not a good therapy. Note to self: don'****ch that crap or even listen.

Off to get the payroll that wasn't ready yesterday and back to the credit union that had lines out the door yesterday. Maybe I will make it to wallmart today. We call it "VoldeMart". Tee Hee. Hate that place.

Shirly your holiday stuff sounds so fun. But snakes ? EEEEEWWWW. Don't you need something bigger than a piece of wire? Like a shotgun? Hope you at least have tall tough boots.

Shel lets hear about the snow shoe trip. No snakes there.

Take care my pets. Diane S

I had considered Vikings (living here in Nordic land and all), but after reading that, yeah, not so much. We started Ozark, and it was quite a dilemma, because I was interested in what happened to the characters, but ewwww, the violence! Dh finally had to fini**** alone, and tell me what happened, minus the graphic details.

Diane, yes ... lots of Spanish moss hanging on trees around here, especially in the parks where the BIG trees are. I'll post pix eventually.

I've read the Anne Rice books (a lot of them, anyway -- years ago), but haven't met any vampires yet. ;)

It's the height of winter here, although spring comes early down here. Azaleas are almost done, and camellias are coming on strong now.

Chair sitting rhinitis sounds plausible too!

Feel better soon Diane x

I actually am bringing up my shotgun next week - I am fully licensed and like the idea of distance between me and them if I need to act. Happy for them to be on farm - just not around where we live ie house yard.

My duty day is 7:15-3:15, but one rarely leaves that early. Today the fire alarm went off at 3:30, and the building emptied out as teachers hastily left, most of us clutching our coats, bags etc. Work day over, because there is no point in standing around outside for 30 minutes in the cold while the Fire department clears the school for reentry. Party in the staff parking lot!

My son, yes, my kid, is downstairs cooking a pasta dish that requires a lemon, garlic, ground pepper, olive oil, shrimp... I like this grown up stuff. Hmmmm, the garlic smell wafting up the stairs smells promising.
