Great cleaning followed by EXCEPTIONAL massage. The therapist was gentle with my forearm burn and did lots of healing work above and below it. Liz, I think it was you who shared that you try to drink a glass of water between glasses of wine, both to reduce wine consumption and address possible thirst. The wine mentality in NYS wine country is everywhere. I adjust my tastes seasonally, and currently especially like Dr. Frank's Semi-Dry Riesling... but it goes down too easily. Have switched to a Chardonnay Riesling blend. Hair cut and color today...am continuing down the growing out from summer short path. As always, once it gets past that awkward phase, I'll get it cut really short again ! LOL !

Weight's up a couple of pounds since I left home, but that's normal after two days of driving, not enough water, and no bathroom action.

Today will be busy: walking in the park, registering for classes at the language school, checking out a yoga studio, shopping for familiar grocery staples, and more exploring the neighborhood.

This street is in the midst of many other quiet residential blocks. It's lined with beautiful, grand multi-story homes and this fourplex, the only multi-family dwelling on the street. It's painted light yellow and has two palm trees in front - very Creole in style. Last night, I slept long enough, but had some very strange dreams and kept waking up. I was a good girl, stayed in bed, and went back to sleep readily.

Right now I'm drinking a latte made from the best vegetable of the day - mmmm, good!

More later.

;)

Weight 122.4, calories 1025. I need bathroom time, so true weight is around 122, my stall number these days. One more sleep until Florida so only one more night of not 100% controlled food.

Yesterday's list was completed with a few extra tasks from today done as well which would be difficult in the rain (it might shower this morning). In 1/2 hour I'm going out to do my last of the out of the house tasks, then will return to deal with those at home.

DH was okay yesterday even with a busy day so hopefully will be okay tomorrow when he has to be up at 6:30 and out of the house by 7:30 to travel to the airport. I wish I could get all flights so they leave at noon, but it never works out that way.

Justice is fully signed off as an emotional support dog, his immunizations are up to date, and the vet says he seems super healthy (as I thought).

Have a terrific Thursday!

Here is a picture from 1890 of one of the popular beaches here (Falmouth Heights). The building in the background has been replaced by very expensive condos and a gorgeous restaurant. But the building was still there until the fall of 2003, so when I first used to visit Falmouth it was here.

Oooh I love a good massage. And cleaning! And checking things off to-do list.

today is a slushy wintry day here in Okc. We're at that point where the slushy can turn to ice in an instant, making this mama very nervous. Oklahoma drivers don't do very well in this stuff...

Housekeeper came yesterday and I am so grateful! Still much to be done but makes a huge impact. If the weather doesn't forbid it, I think I will stop by a couple stores on the way home today in search of a basket/cube/container to collect Becca's toys. Since she is so little, she obviously plays where we are, which is the living room! One of her favorite things to do is to dump out toys, so even though it feels a bit futile to pick them up, at least I know at some point it's clean and she so enjoys reliving the process daily!

Someone had left wine over from the holidays and I attempted a half glass last night. Many cultures still consume wine in pregnancy and I figured I'm getting to the halfway point and half a glass probably wouldn't hurt. But maybe my body knows? It just wasn't very satisfying and with heartburn anyway I poured it out and opted for water instead. And, as it turns out, I was indeed thirsty!

Cravings have truly been much stronger this pregnancy. Almost every food ad I see looks amazing. To look at the bright side, it's kind of fun to feel so eager about food, or anything really! The down side is I wonder how many bad habits I'm forming that will be hard to counteract later? I constantly torn between worrying about that later or trying to get ahold of things now. I think I did pretty well with my first pregnancy, and I'm only up 8lbs. right now. It's not even so much the weight gain that worries me, it's having to relearn "no" to food!

Good Morning All - Friyay here and going to be a scorcer! Expecting close to 110 today. I am working 6.30-2.30 then might take DS shopping as I have vouchers to use up and the shops will be cool then collect the puppies and go swimming.

Accomplished a lot yesterday. Got through all my emails - still have a ton of stuff flagged for review but got the invoicing done and will start on approving Engineers consultancy time today. After work I cleaned the house and then trimmed the rhubarb (will make pies today or something with it once I stew it) DS took me to dinner which was lovely then we came home and watered trees together. I then hopped on the ride on mower and did one side of the driveway till 9pm when I lost light. Ride on mower has headlights but given recent Brown Snake sighting I wasnt going to risk it. Other side will be done maybe tonight if cool enough or tommorrow.

My nerves at backing a fire trailer up the dam bank had merit as I managed to bog one front wheel in the dam overflow. After a call to DH I was instructed on how to put the tractor into 4WD and lock diffs and get myself out without roll into the dam. Second refill went better - no bogs but I put it into 4WD before I started. Learning all the time which is a wonderful thing. I can now change all the fire trailer hoses so as to pump out of the dam and then reverse them back so we can water. I need to improve my backing skills but practice and persistance are wonderful things.

First load of washing on and sipping a cup of tea listening to the birds sing. Sun is shining and life is good.

Diane - sorry to hear about your burn :( Heal fast

Liz - Good luck with final preparations for your return trip to Florida

BB- I love our cleaner - its my indulgence at our city house. Good luck with the toy organising :)

Ann - Glad you made it and sounds like you are settling in well

Hope you all have a wonderful afternoon/evening - I better start work

Shirley :)
