Those sentences caught my eye, too.

A different fella, for sure, in lots of ways (Almost) 89 books to his name. Amazing.

Yesterday was a better day all around...the dark cloud only hovered for a few seconds before getting in bed last night. Hot flashes were less and I slept well. I believe wearing my Apple Watch helped me to be more active and aware that I needed to move my body, although right now my body is very good at letting me know. Hoping today I can increase my pathetic number of steps I'm taking...lol I binged watched Jack Ryan on Amazon and have one episode left. Very intense.

I bought a robotic vacuum, BObsweep...I'm loving Bob. I can't believe the dirt he picks up. He even goes underneath furniture. I'm a little OCD about cleaning. He is alleviating some the anxiety I'm having over not being able to clean the house. I used to have someone clean. When we put new floors in, I decided since I'm off on most Fridays and I needed to move my body more that I could clean my own house. When I have time, I like cleaning if you can believe it. It's actually a stress reliever for me. I may have to have someone come in. I can see dust...lol Andy hates to clean. He would do it but he has enough to do to keep up with me. He is really a kind, patient man who has done an excellent job taking care of my every need.

Our Christmas decorations are put up except for our table top tree. I love the lights...makes me happy! Andy frowned as he likes everything put up the day after Christmas. lol

Love the laundry basket idea. I do that when we travel as well.

Looking forward to Devon's first trip in the new trailer and Ann's Nola trip. My FIL gave us a magazine subscription to a trailer magazine. I can't remember the name right now but it really is informative and interesting. I'm looking forward to when Andy and I travel that way. If we are brave enough, we just may live in it full-time!

Time to move my body! Hope everyone has a great day.

Bob huh? I love technology, but I need to reign in spending. I am NOT looking it up (LOL, of course I will).

Bills paid, last load of laundry in dryer, dishwasher running, DH fed, coffee in hand, sitting in Sunroom next to fireplace and Christmas Tree. I need to remember to be thankful for these moments...

Last night while car buying some "young people" came over to hang out with our kids. They are part of the now grown up entourage of preschoolers who used to party with us on NYE. We call them our chosen family, but our daughter posted pictures with the #foundfamily. I love the alliteration, and either way, love these chosen/found nieces and nephews. It's so heartwarming to see them as adults and the ease and depth of their friendships, and remember when the oldest found niece toddled into our yard 25 years ago and set in motion the chain that would bring her Dad to be my husband's dearest friend, and cause all the other siblings and his parents to fold us into their family. Our bonds further deepened when the brother of dear husband's best friend (catch that?) offered to host our daughter when she moved to Boston. She ended up living with them for almost two years, and he and his fiance now consider her their daughter, and refer to us as the bios. :)

Speaking of Boston, I got to try out my remote start and heated seats at 5:30 am, when I drove daughter to the airport. She is safely back to her apartment, and our house is that much quieter.

Today I get to putter around again, restoring some order here and there, reading the Sunday paper, one of my favorite pastimes, and who knows, maybe even start one of the books I got for Christmas. Feeling wistful for daughter, but otherwise peaceful.

And a remote start too! I never had one of those. Where are you in New England since you were driving to Boston?

Sadly not in New England, but in Minneapolis, putting daughter on a plane to return her to Boston. She defected from the Bold North a few years ago.

Greetings New Year Anticipators

153.5 today. Considering my descent into cracker land yesterday while at the gallery, not so bad. I found a box of crackers in the back room and ate quite a few out of sheer boredom, having done what chores I could find. So be it.

Well our little fake Christmas tree is still up and I will leave it for awhile. Why not.

SP glad you like your Bob the vacuum. I've kind of wanted one but our house is so full of dog toys and other junk on the floor I fear disaster.

Ann, glad the eye is improving and that you are still heading for NOLA. Vive les laundry baskets. Thats sort of how I went to college. And congrats on a good night's sleep. Its a good thing. Yeah, from my DH's experience there is indeed a lot they don't tell you about cataract surgery. I am headed that way too I think.

We watched the Orange Bowl last night. BB I was hoping OU would get it together but I guess they just got too far behind. A good show though.

Fun museum trip Peps. I will have to check it out when in SF.

Still no schedule for DH surgery. We have had to just wait out the holidays before they will set anything up. I kind of feel like I am treading water trying to plan but oh well. The rain has let up and I must do dog food shopping and maybe get to the studio.

Hey heated seats DD. Great. I got the heated seats and heated steering wheel in our new car. Gotta admit I have never turned on the heated seats but I do heat the steering wheel often. Good for my beat up hands.

Shel, hoping to hear about a hike. Take care all. Diane S

Question: Why are they called "heated seats"?

Answer: Because "rear defroster" was already taken.
