Thanks Ann. I'm feeling pretty good today physically though I'm debating whether I feel up to vacuuming or doing laundry so I have tomorrow free for baking... But of course I don't WANT to do them so I may be using my minor surgery as an excuse, LOL.
The thing about DH getting lost is that it is another step down for him. The neurologist says his progresssion seems to be fairly fast. It may not be much longer until he can't be alone which is certainly going to narrow down our lives even more.

No way I can "like" that comment. But given my experience with and observations of several other Alzheimer's patients progressions, I think your neurologist is right.

I can't like your post, either. But, I do want to vote for using your surgery to skip usual duties. Plus, you probably should skip!

I am stressed. I know I am stressed because I am resentful of others instead of letting things roll off my back which (I swear) is my norm. Also, I have allowed myself to fall into a food hole. Maybe I want to be in the food hole so I purposeful become resentful? (If so, WTF?)
Moving on from the dark recesses of my mind. Ann, I love the 24 hours Happy. dd and I were enjoying some together. I love that there is SO MUCH so that I won't run out anytime soon. Also, the moon has been beautiful....hoping to see it as I head out this morning. I love passing thru solstice.
Seek Peace today. Enjoy your peeps even if they are RR's (That last sentence is directed at me more than any of you!)

Oh, Shel -- I am sorry you've fallen in a food hole. If you knew what I'd eaten last week in my own hole (information I purposefully did not share here), you'd be impressed. Or you'd projectile vomit, which I never do, by the way. Bulimia has never been one of my super powers.
Hence, this is another reason I'm not fond of the holidays -- stress + sugar everywhere + people who **** me off = a prairie dog metropolis of food holes.
Aren't the Happy videos wonderful?!?! I'm going to watch some right now. :)

Well. At last Prairie Dogs are cute. Have you seen them up close? Prairie Dog villages are tourist stops in South Dakota and these Hollywood PD's are (of course) fat because the tourists pay for treats to feed them. In fact, now that I think about it, there is a Prairie Dog magnet on my fridge. Of course it is on the fridge.....the circle is now complete. Whew. I feel better.
eta, yes, those videos are wonderful!

Good Morning! We are without children or grandchildren. The nieces and nephew are all grown up. Our shopping is really pretty stress free and next year will be even less as we have decided to not exchange gifts. Most of us are in the position to buy things we want and need. It's hard to buy for others who "have everything". It is enough for me to have a meal together and spend time together.
I slept without pains meds last night. I was up some, watched part of a movie and then fell back to sleep. I'm really stiff and sore this morning. Walking around the house helps so that's what I'm doing. And, my hair is clean!!
Im sorry Becca is sick. Hopes she's better soon. I'm glad you're feeling better this morning, Liz! It has to be worrisome for DH to have been lost.
Hope everyone has a happy Sunday...
Here are my 2 favorite ornaments. The one on the left is one of two remaining Santa's who were originally on a mini light set holding the lights. My father gave the set to me for my mini tree before he passed away, so sometime prior to 1967. The one on the right was from my oldest DD on her last Christmas. At the time my two youngest were 16 and 14 and it was supposed to represent me juggling a million things at the same time.
