Greetings Friends
Forgot to weigh today. Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Or it just IS.
Diane O, glad DC's procedure went well and the anesthetic protocol was good. Sounds like no fun for him and he is indeed lucky to have you. Hope recovery is uneventful.
Liz sorry your sleep was disturbed. Cecily's suggestion on a sleep mask looked like a good one. Hope it helps.
Shel you skinny thing. 21% body fat is most excellent. Kudos.
But what a heartbreak on your daughter's friend. Where do these kids get these guns? Life altering for the witness girl, all the families and everyone concerned. A friend's daughter just finished her degree in school counseling. She will no doubt have to counsel kids over stuff like this. Horrific.
BB sorry you have the bug and that its going around your town. Rest as much as you can. You didn't eat any romaine lettuce did you?
Bonnie 150 glad you are getting out and about and recovering. Wish you could share a dose of "I don't like eating" with a few of us. Here is hoping that appetite returns - at least a little.
Yesterday was scrabble and I got killed in two games. Makes me feel like a dope. Oh well. Finally got to B B and B and took the sheets back. Was grateful for excellent help from an employee who went out of his way to find the item i needed which was not out on display. I need to find a way to complement him to management. Also got big $$ deposited for gallery. Makes me nervous walking around with $1k cash. Trip to the store and homemade chili for dinner last night. Excellent using home canned tomatoes. Studio time today plus getting payroll and taking a bunch of old sheets over to the animal shelter. Maybe a little Christmas shopping. Plenty of goofing off. And coffee. DianeS
wait! do you can tomatoes? My mom canned tomatoes and I was her child laborer. Glass jars everywhere. HOT HOT HOT stove
The paper didn't say where the gun came from but the ammo came from an adult (friend of family?) named Taco. We don't know the boy's name, but we know Taco. Paper also said the boy was struggling because of his parent's divorce. He is also a tragedy. A living tragedy but still tragedy. The police found the boy hiding in a friend's house in Canyon Park which is MY NEIGHBORHOOD. I drove thru the shooting area this morning. I don't like this.
Some of the cities in the area have new laws saying that if your gun is not secured and it is used in a crime, you can be prosecuted/fined. I think the NRA is challenging it.
It seems like the Wild West. Or, a fictional ghetto. But, these cities are generic suburbs of Seattle....mostly middle class, some upper class.

No Shel, I don't exactly can tomatoes. In past years I did it with a friend at her house - she has a 6 burner gas stove and dishwasher that sterilizes the glassware. So I was more of the grunt labor peeling the blanched tomatoes, boiling lids and rings and whatever. So we split the cost and I bring home some jars. Still have a couple left. My hands are getting to crappy to do all that any more.
Super creepy that this terrible crime is in your neighborhood. We have a fair amount of crime around here and no place feels really safe. Thats why our neighborhood goes all out for Halloween so kids can be safe. Lots of property crimes. No place is safe anymore.

Weight 172.4 If the powers that be want us to exercise, they ought to make the scale go down when we do it, not up!
Busy day today. Pilates, trainer and book club Christmas party. I hate having three obligations on one day. I know that's weird, but I like stuff spread out, not clumped. And Pilates and the trainer an hour and 15 min apart is a bummer and makes the trainer that much harder. Geez, so much whining from me today!
It is raining thiugh and I love that so much. Hooefully it bodes well for this year and the drought.
Must dash!
