Eating was better today, but not yet back to where it needs to be.

Opera went off without a hitch. I was very proud of my students, especially when the professional singers complimented them on being the most well prepared group of students they had worked with this season. The Opera Guild docent was quite impressed by the kiddos, too. She said in her six years with the program she had never seen kids so well prepared and confident. Yay! I'm guessing that BA in Theatre Arts is paying off! LOL!

My weight is not back to where it needs to be, but so be it. I weigh only 97 pounds more than Diane S. I can live with that. Hahahaha! Seriously, though, I am super duper proud of my exercise and capacity for building strength lately. I'm choosing to focus on that positive, rather than beat myself up about having trouble getting completely off the sugar again.

I'm still trying to sort through some of what Ann posted yesterday. It's pretty heavy duty stuff, when you really stop to think about what she writes. There is wisdom in her words, but some of what she writes invokes panic (for me anyway). That whole trust yourself piece is elusive, or at best fleeting. At times (e.g. currently) even though my intentions are outwardly good, there is something internally that engages in subterfuge and sabotage and keeps me from fulfilling that trustworthiness I would like to achieve. I suppose it is practice that is needed. More to think about and sort through.

Ever onward!

What a tribute to you as a teacher. You should be proud of them and yourself! And proud of yourself for your dedication to fitness. I feel like walking for an hour a day is working out...

I agree with you on Ann's working on trusting her instincts more. Maybe I could think about doing that when I'm further out but for now I need to continue daily weighing of me, my food and tracking.
