Windshield Wipers: Imagine yourself laying flat on floor, with legs straight out, touching. Your arms are on the floor but reaching out to the side, like a T.
Then lift the legs straight up into the air (still touching).
Then bring both legs (still touching) to one side, barely touch the floor, then immediately lift them back up, cross the center and touch the floor on the other side. Keep swiping, back and forth, like windshield wipers.
Your arms (stretched out like a T) provide some balance/support, but your abs are supplying all the strength for the windshield-wiper motion.
To make it easier, you can bend your legs at the knees.
In yoga, we would keep bend our knees AND keep feet flat on the floor and just move the knees back and forth....really rather soothing.

Well that does sound really hard. On my new car the windshield wipers are not parallel - they go in opposite directions - making me cross eyed.
And take the cougar warnings seriously. I may have told you there was a bad cougar attack near here a few years back. Look in that book for the College Cove - Elk Head trail. A man was virtually scalped, his wife beat off the cougar with a stick and they walked to the road and flagged down help. Guy was life flighted to SF but did recover. Be careful. diane
