I'm waking up just as early lately, but I'm now doing yoga at home, since I haven't been able to go to class. This morning I actually did 45" of yoga. BB, I adore yoga, and I think you would, too. If you do want to get into it, I suggest you find a good teacher and study with her/him for some time. Yoga isn't complicated at all, but it has taken me several years to actually grok things about it that I just didn't trust initially ... things like "If it hurts, don't do it!" and "Don't forget to breathe." ;) Next week, I'll be ready to go back to yoga class - looking forward to it.
And regarding learning how to do new **** I've finally figured out that all we have to do to learn how to do something new is just to do it consistently as well as we can, and, eventually, we will get better. Next!
I'm doing well. The weather here continues to be absolutely gorgeous! Thanksgiving Day will bring us the best Thanksgiving weather we've had in maybe ten years. My eating plan for Thanksgiving is to "eat reasonably at my sister's house and not bring any food home with me."
And for the ten days after Thanksgiving, I plan to drop my cals down to 1,200/day and get these freakin' three pounds that are bugging me off my fluffier butt! I'm in the mood to knuckle down and just ******' do it, albeit in a very lighthearted way, of course. :)
Late yesterday afternoon, my local optometrist fitted me with a contact lens for my right eye that now lets me see like a sniper. I can see all the edges on all the leaves that are still on the trees and on the ground. I feel about six years old! Being able to see everything clearly and in true living color is probably going to change my life. In fact, I think I can even see the future more clearly. :)
Thanksgiving Week theme: I am grateful to each of you for being here, standing together.

Great hook for a movie plot! Never thought of that seriously. ;)

Ooh my rear and outer thighs are sore today! I go again this off next week for my IUD placement.
Is everyone ready for turkey day if you do turkey day? I will start prepping tonight after I drive to my Dad's house. I have to wait for the traffic to clear though, so it might be late bedore I get there.
BB, as a little one I apparently got a lot of bladder infections. Apparently sitting in soapy bath water can cause it with girls... I hope she and you are feeling better soon!
I am on-track for Turkey Day.
I couldn't hike today so I will do a short hike in the morning. I have a training plan built by someone else and I find that I am obsessive about getting everything done, even if I have to move around the days. So, I must be bossed around. If I had done the planning plan, it would have been out the window in about 3 minutes.
So, I think of you whenever I look at particular core training video. There is much on there I can't do by the way.
But, you know that pilates move that put pressure directly on your LBL incision? I think that is likely called windshield wipers in the video and it is demo'd at minute 1.00.
BUT, the LOL moment is that somewhere (not on the video) they say that if windshield wiper is too easy, even with mtn boots on, then you should modify by doing around-the-world which is at minute 4:10. I mean like WTF! But, it wouldn't hurt your LBL scar!

The guy who is demo'ing is a professional mountaineer who is sponsored by Patagonia. The co-owner of his business trained for, but didn't make, the Olympic team. I think he had an injury or something....maybe from doing windshields with boots. So after that he became a trainer for future Olympians. Freaks.

Good gravy! I watched that core video and yowzah! at some of them, including around-the-world and the ones where he's hanging on the ceiling raising his entire body up to hiw chin. Nope. Not gonna happen.
On the plus side, several of them I already do, but will try a couple more from this video tomorrow morning in my home yoga practice. I wonder how the windshield wiper ones would work for me ... ;)

I was hoping you would look but didn't want to encourage you cuz of recent injury.
Try his push up. I thought it looked "delicious." I seriously said "delicious" in my mind because it looked all yoga-y stretchy, good. Just a flashy chaturanga. Then I couldn't do even one. (Nose and chin are suppose to scrape the mat forward and back.). That's the one that Peps had No Problem with! So jelly.
The around the world one is good for a laugh....every, single, time.

Yes! I saw that chaturanga! Although my teacher would say he's doing it wrong. But then he's got on gym shoes, so ....
During this morning's (Thanksgiving morning's) yoga session I actually did some windshield wipers. HOWEVER, they'll be a LOT easier when my ribs are fully healed. which my doc predicted will be done by mid-December. And I'm going to complain bitterly and ask for my money back if I still have twinges then.
That around the world thang is insane. Nuts. I hate him.
