It's Monday again, and if we're lucky we've got another seven days to do our thing on this beautiful, whirling planet. :)
Yesterday I ate well again. I haven't reported on V/Fs in a while, so these were mine on Sunday: mixed organic lettuces, mango, Honeycrisp apple, broccoli, sweet potato, cooked kale and other greens, and shiitake mushrooms. Doesn't that sound good?
Protein came from a GNC protein shake, roasted pork loin, a beef Korean power bowl, and skim milk and full-fat cheddar cheese. I drank 5 glasses of water, which is my water goal for today.
This week's theme: This Thanksgiving week, I thank each of you for being here, standing together.
P.S. This morning I sent Bonnie a FB message saying we're all talking about her behind her back and asked that when she feels strong enough to let us know how she's faring.

I'm home safely from my niece's wedding in Chicago, down two pounds ! Walked everywhere and it feels great ! So, for the first time in a LONG time, I had to go through the whole TSA screening at the airport. My abdomen and thighs lit up bright yellow, and I was pulled out of line for a full search. Interesting fact... excess skin against toned muscle looks like a solid, foreign area on the scan. They patted me down, and couldn't figure out why I was so "lit up"...caused quite a commotion. They showed me what they were looking at, on the screen. I said, "I've lost 200 pounds and have some loose skin... could that have anything to do with it ?" Eureka ! Apparently the leaner someone is, the more dramatic the skin becomes (significant fat behind it would "neutralize" it somehow ?). Determined not to be a terroristic threat, everyone stood down. Who knew !
Cecily, thought of you over Lake Michigan, looking for your summer home !
Off to light up my day !!

Interesting factoid about TSA scanning - Maybe the scan is designed to look for extra stuff strapped to one's body and that is what loose skin appears as? Good for you losing weight at a wedding!

Weight 122.2, calories 1639. We have friends from Cape Cod visiting - staying here last night and tonight. Much wine and food. I need to have less today! It is rather humid today, which I didn't expect. I don't know what is on the agenda, but we will figure out something.
Have a marvelous Monday!

Up a little. Still trying to remember to be confident in myself. Except I always wonder should I be. Double-edged sword.
Ann-I have definitely missed your V/F analysis. And thank you for passing along our well-wishes to Bonnie. Sure hope she has a smooth road to recovery.
Diane O.-Hmm I wonder if that's happened to me. I've had my groin area light up before. But they blamed it on my shorts. But that's where I carry most of my excess skin. I try to remember they're doing their jobs, but it is uncomfortable under the best situations, and humiliating under the worst. I've gotten some power hungry TSA agents before.
Liz-your FL home always sounds like such a dream
Shirl-I read your posts every day, but sometimes forget to comment by the next day. Your BBQ sounded so yummy but I was thinking "that's unusual for fall/winter" until I remembered it's your spring/summer!! That being said, I can do BBQ all year round!
AFM-I'm still feeling sick. After getting up with Becca last night, I couldn't go back to sleep because I noticed my sore throat and runny nose. I ended up watching a couple hours of Jezebel (Bette Davis film--I believe it was supposed to be "Gone with the Wind" eque except it's totally not). Anyway, very tired this morning. Told DH I was up for two hours, and he said "yeah, me too!" Grrrrr. Anyone else ever have this happen? It really ticked me off. No he was not up!! He was referring to the time prior to that when we heard the baby. Obviously my nerves are a little thin due to lack of sleep and general not feeling well.
Becca still has a low grade fever. Taking her to the Dr. today for some peace of mind since they'll be closed during Thanksgiving.
