Today's post is short and sweet.

My Baptist spidey senses were right -- I'm up a pound two days after Friday's socializing. But I don't care because yesterday I cared very well for myself.

In fact, the day was lovely. I didn't leave the property, did everything I wanted to get done, and walked in the woods twice.

This morning my eye is less bloody, and I can breathe more deeply before my bottom sore rib complains. Today I'll grocery shop, read, and keep eating well. My water goal for today is 5 glasses. And later I'll hazard some actual yoga poses. I'm so enjoying this weekend!

Best wishes to all for a restful, peaceful Sunday.

Yesterday's theme reprised: "Do the right things ... if not all the time, then enough of the time."

P.S. Still no FB posts about / from Bonnie150.

P.P.S. Whoops! Just realized I had reposted Friday's macronutrients. Have corrected them now. #ODC&Proud

Ann, thanks for keeping us in the loop about the absence of FB posts from Bonnie 150.

The wedding was fabulous! My niece was stunning, I'm having a great time with DD, and the loft reception was such fun. My niece married into a large Mexican family, her husband having nine siblings. The extended group of cousins is lively and fun. Authentic Mexican food was the order of the night. I was able to navigate food choices fairly well, and limited my first real Churro to a couple of bites. I rarely eat anything deep fried and it sat heavy. Lots of walking and dancing ! I'll push water during my flights home.

Weight 122.6, calories 1553. We have friends coming to visit for a couple of days and then Thanksgiving this week so lots of eating out is coming. And I'm getting into a Christmas decorating mood. I didn't do much here last year because we left 8 days earlier, but since we are only home for 2.5 weeks, I want some Christmas spirit here. I scored a great wreath at Michaels for $16 (60% off)!

I also bought a new appliance suite yesterday which cost a bit more than $16. All the major stores had their appliances on sale this month and I got some more adjustments by the salesperson, so I think I did okay. I decided that the kitchen would look half done if I did the countertops and didn't replace the appliances. All stainless fingerprint resistant. This place will really feel done after those changes are made. It will be nice to have a working ice maker again and be able to run the dishwasher without it sounding like a plane is taking off.

I keep worrying about Bonnie 150. I hope she is okay. That was a pretty major procedure she was having.

Have a super Sunday!

Weight: 167.8

David-I feel you on getting head cold from a baby. Becca was sick earlier (though she had fever?) and now I woke up with a sore throat yesterday that moved into head congestion and runny/stuffy nose. No good. When will you be off the weight lifting restriction? I know surgery can definitely alter mood. I think maybe there's been studies to that effect? And I know Cecily can probably chime in about her recent experience. I don't know if it's the idea of something that's supposed to make you feel better making you feel WORSE or what. But just try to remember it eventually will improve!

Liz-I need to clean my windows too. Idk why one day I noticed them and they've been really bugging me ever since. At least the ones I can get to. That's such a hard call on home improvements. On the one hand, I'd prefer to make them NOW and enjoy them. We've made a lot of improvements to our home over time, and if we sstay and enjoy them, no regrets. But now we're getting to the point where we wonder how much more we can get out of our home if we had to sell--which we don't want to--ever--but after the recent job volatility, it's much more of a real possibility.

Diane O-remind me whose wedding it is again?

Ann--maybe it's my baby talking, but that lunch sounds SO GOOD! I have a new appreciation for Martinelli's, being that I cannot drink alcohol :( AGAIN. TJ's also had a sparkling clementine beverage that almost tasted like a mimosa. Sushi sounds so good too. Glad to hear another positive review on Bohemian Rhapsody. Guess I'll have to make an effort to see that.

Diane S.-congrats on the surgiversary! Right behind you! Glad you have Thanksgiving plans again. Sad their cruise got canceled. River cruises sure sound fun.

DD-sounds like you have quite a busy week ahead! Take care! I don't understand how people host 30+ for Thanksgiving. Like even logistically!! I've done about 16 (maybe plus a few kids) and it's a challenge. I just love Thanksgiving and how it brings people together. Even though in the middle of it sometimes I don't feel that way ha! My husband does that too! Idk why I stress about what he eats. He stops eating soda, replaces fries with fruit, and bamo he drops 25lbs. in a month it seems!

Peps-you're doing awesome! How's the smoke situation?

Worried about Bonnie150 too. HOping she's using all her energy to HEAL!!

Did I tell y'all that BIL came in sort of last moment? A week ago he called my husband to say that he wanted to come in this weekend so they could give their sister her Christmas gift, and he's not coming for Thanksgiving this year. I'm a bit of a jerk because I had so much planned this weekend--plans that take quite a bit of effort nowadays!! Thursday I had a surprise happy hour planned for my husband's birthday. I had to let on to the surprise because he was picking up his brother shortly before. Then Becca got sick so I couldn't make it. Then his brother's flight was delayed. Yeah, the best laid plans :( Friday we had movers arranged to move in our new dining room furniture. Isn't it crazy how you can buy more furniture or room and suddenly fill it up twice as fast?!! Afterwards I had already RSVP'd to a friend's birthday at the movie theater balcony. Luckily we were able to get an extra ticket. We saw fantastic beasts. But boy I don't think I can do late movies (it started at 9:30) anymore. Yesterday was the surprise for his sister. She was happy but I think they had a less subdued reaction in their minds. I started getting sick yesterday--woke up with a sore throat which is no good. Today his brother leaves in the evening. I'm still trying to put the dining room back together. But thankfully this year my mom is hosting Thanksgiving. It was just too much last year!! Being pregnant and having out of town guests for 10 days!

Smoke is still BAD. There was an article yesterday that cited all the delightful carcinogens that are in the smoke. There is one in particular (can't say it or spell it without reference) that is the worst of the worst that they have detected in the particulate matter. They say low levels are like being a smoker. The current levels in my area are so high the article said it's like being a 2 - 3 pack a day smoker. Great....

However, I am not complaining because I am seeing reports about how bad it is closer to the fire and we find out every day how much worse than originally predicted the damage and fatality rates are. It is very, very sad.

I am not a Trumpeter by any stretch of the imagination, so I am not saying this in support of his heartless tweets about forest management, but we really do need to reexamine the ecofreak method of non-forest management in this country. What we are dealing with right now is true natural forest management and it is Wrath of God Awful!

Wow. 2-3 packs a day. And as a very bad asthmatic, that sounds terrifying to me!

I don't know anything about Trump's views on the fires but I think we can all agree that he's not helping himself when he gets on twitter. Actually, does anyone? Short political statement ending.

I also don't know about fire management, but I'm guessing (last time I assumed I made an ass..ok so maybe I should research this first) Eco would dictate let the fires burn? Or a more natural approach? Instead of perhaps chemicals or something unnatural that might better put an end to it? I really need to not be so lazy and just google the darn thing.

That's a lot of upheaval for a lot of people. Not to mention the air quality and death toll, etc. Sad.
