Thanks! This is not the first time this has happened. Usually, it happens only in the winter when it is dry. I have pretty good results with anti bacterial cream in the split and then heavy, heavy lotion use. Right now it has been so dry, that even with drinking plenty of water, nothing seems to be helping keep the dry skin at bay.
Thats good Devon - a hydrocortizone cream may also help. We can get it over the counter at the pharmacy here. I am lucky ? enough to have a tube of strong cortizone cream that I reserve use on until my hands are exceptionally bad.
Hope it heals soon and you hydrate - We use Aveeno products here - they are thick, non perfumed and really lock in the moisture. As the Aussie summers are super harsh
I used to wash my hands 50 times a shift while I was working as a nurse. I know this is going to sound a little weird but on the split skin I use super glue. As long as it is not bleeding. I just fill the split with glue and sand off with fingernail board. The pain stops immediately. After it dries I usually give it a second coat and sand off again. They use different types of super glue in surgery. Thought it could not hurt to try it so I have been doing it for 25 years.

NEVER would have thought of that. Thanks for the tried-and-tested tip, David.

Any cheap super glue will work. You will only use a few drops before the rest of the container is dried up or the tip anyway. I have been buying the tube type so I can make another opening in the side of it. That way I can get a few more uses from it.
Your workouts sound very next level. Congrats.
