Good morning,
Wow, you folks have been productive! I am not caught up but really quick......B150, I bought a large bag of peanuts yesterday and most of them are gone. I only ate them for you...surely the cosmos would give you the weight gain and not me. My morning number suggests otherwise.
DianeO, love the snow pics (but sorry for the cold) and I have a new appreciation for DC. To evolve on food and "get it" without surgery is pretty cool. OMG, PEPS! Loved the pic of the 4 of you.....just loved loved loved. Tesla has natural "I am not amused look" but in that picture I feel it is directly channeled at the ***** (And lets be clear, that isn't DianeS) Dave, I love all pics of you with babies.
Fish oil affect platelets, Ann. Also, supplements sometimes contain undeclared ingredients and surgeons don't like unknowns.
Liz, Nudexta!!!! Fancy! I have never seen a patient on Nudexta cuz it is just that fancy. Pretty new, too. Did you happen to see what it cost?
BB, Little Nugget sitting up watching TV! Whoa! Where does time go. Cecily, thumbs up to podcasts and audible to pass the time when you are simply putting your body in motion. Broken heart about the fires....you have to wonder what is next.
Gotta run....must get some work stuff taken care of. My weekend hasn't been restful but it has been productive. Thanksgiving is almost here!
Hugs to all!

Yes Shel, I did look up the cost. DH doesn't have a great prescription plan right now so I'd either have to change his plan or drop the drug. So far it isn't doing much...

There is a cost savings card on the website.....these are common offers from manufacturers these days and they can even be helpful if insurance is involved. Nuedexta Savings Card

Good Morning All, sneaking back in after a busy weekend. Monday morning and start of the working week again... Road trip Saturday to see ex workmate who is in a nursing home - 6 hour drive but it was wonderful to surprise her and spend quality time. Sunday was maintenance day - I scrubbed back deck and it now is sporting a new coat of oil. Will do the second coat today as we are expecting weather close to the 100's summer is coming and I cant wait - always have so much more energy when the sun is out.
Weighed this morning and have dropped last weeks gain - 167.6 - will take that
Havent had a chance to fully catch up on everyones posts but here goes - apologises if I miss anyone
Ann - Sounds like you had a lovely trip to see family and are continuing to heal slowly - be kind to yourself
Ocean - I am with you in that Anns meals sound amazing - fully agree that quality over quantity is very much my brief these days. How are you healing?
Liz - Hope your SIL arrives safely and that DH's meds settle soon- must be so hard on you all - hugs
Bonnie - Sending you lots of support from afar. I think the way you are processing and preparing is amazing. Will be thinking of you lots and good luck for tommorrow x
Shel - Hi :)
Well I best go and start my working day - Just DS and I as DH left for our farm yesterday. Want to get all the laundry done and a few other things while I work today.
Have a wonderful evening all
Shirley
Same old, same old here.
Weight same as yesterday. Though, I think I may have to change the batteries in my scale. I got on before I went to bed and had LOST a pound during the day. I thought that was odd, so was not at all disappointed to see I had GAINED a pound back overnight - even though all I did was pee last night! (too much water yesterday...)
Ron is trying my patience. I think the best example of what's been going on the past few days is this: When I told him I didn't want to go out to lunch today, his response was, "Fine, I won't eat. I'll just wait until dinner." That kind of stuff really irks me. Oh, well.....
I think today will be a day to withdraw to my internal life and take care of my own stuff. Boom!
As Margaret Mitchell so aptly wrote, "After all, tomorrow is another day!"
Rock on folks!
No weight. No real exercise....boooo. Weather here sucks, temps in the 20's and 30's, maybe lower with wind chill. Have I mentioned that I hate winter? Spent most of the weekend at Kevin's. One short run home to get DS#1 some CBD gummies. He was stressing out and he said it worked wonders for him! Kevin had just bought 2 packs of them to send to his daughter who is stressing about upcoming college exams - well now she only gets one pack ; )
I have been eating out way too much. Mostly making healthy choices but still....would be much better if I was eating home cooked food. Trying to convert my new man who does not cook at all and is used to going out or getting take-out all the time. I did make fish tacos on Friday night and he loved them and we had scrabbled eggs with ham, cheese and veggies Saturday morning. Baby steps!
Work is going well, have been pretty busy as of late. Picking up a few extra days here and there but mostly just trying to manage life as a single parent with a big house and 3 boys (men) and one significant other to keep happy and healthy.
Gotta go look back to see pics of Devon and Diane and whatever else I might have missed.
Here's my Sunday dinner -- pork loin roast (in lemon garlic marinade), sweet potatoes with pecans and maple syrup, salad of organic greens, Honeycrisp apple, mango, Meyers lemon, more pecans, and Skinny Girl raspberry vinaigrette. (I had a second serving of this salad portion.)
And below are the My Fitness Pal macronutrients deets. :)
Next time I'll toast the pecans ... duh!
