Bonnie, we will all be praying that you have the absolutely best outcome. Hopefully in a few weeks you will be well healed and feeling great. I know it is hard to imagine that right now.

While reading your post emotions from the depths of my memory rose and washed me with love and sadness. My mom tried so desperately to discover what was wrong with her (because she knew something was not right), but the technological diagnostic tools for pancreatic issues were in their infancy.
I am so happy that your doctors have been able to offer you a curative procedure and the likelihood of a full, complete recovery! I am feeling so hopeful and optimistic for you and am truly amazed by how far medical science has come in the past 21 years.
Thank you for sharing your emotional side, too. That must not be easy, but I'm sure it's helpful on a deep level.
Hugs, love, and prayers for you and your surgical team! I am looking forward to hearing good news!
Ah, Ha! Try #3..... I think I have deduced the issue! I used the less than sign in my text. OH seems to find such characters disagreeable. Let's see if the third time is a charm.... If not, F it!
Another busy day for me, but a happy busy day!
My morning was greeted by a significant drop on the scale, so my mini goal has been met. I'm out of the 250s and into the 240s. 249.2 to be precise. Next mini goal is LESS THAN
245. So, I started my morning with a happy dance.
Next up was grooming 2 Norwich Terriers. I was quite pleased with how they both turned out without me spending more time on them than I had budgeted. I could have walked both into the show ring and been confident in their appearance and considering one is a retired Grand Champion and the other is a pet dog, that's saying something.
Had a quick lunch of Greek Yogurt with blueberries and chopped pecans and Go Lean cereal for crunch. Once I was fed, I put puppy Liza in the car, and headed off to meet Diane S. and Tesla at the dog shows in Napa. Liza did great at her first dog show. Her tail was up and happy 90% of the time and was not at all dissuaded by Tesla's correction of her puppy enthusiasm. I couldn't have been more pleased. I do need to get Liza out on the lead more often, though. I could notice the lack of leash training and for a puppy of 4 months old that's just not okay. Have to set her up for success. I'm giving myself some slack since we have had other priorities lately.
Visiting with Diane S. was the highlight of me day. So good to see her. I recommend to Diane and her friend Ardith an Italian restaurant. I hope they enjoy it. I love the food there. You can eat carb heavy or not. The menu is quite good and has things like Carpaccio, roasted airline chicken breasts, Osso Bucco, and I think even a steak. I hope they enjoy their dinner!
I continue to feel good about my almost No Sugar eating. (I have decided I'm not going to be a zealot and not eat certain things like Stubbs BBQ sauce or Bolthouse dressing because sugar is an ingredient. Food still needs to be enjoyable and those two condiments add significant amounts of flavor and enjoyment to my meat and salads.) I am also using Halo Top (and similar) to help with the evening dessert monster when it comes to visit. I do not find Halo Top to be a trigger the way real ice cream is. It is also a dessert item that I can not just dive into. Those of us who use Halo Top, let's face it, we know it's rock solid without thawing for a good 10 to 15 minutes. I can't do drive by spoonfuls. It's a pretty safe low cal, lower sugar dessert when needed.
Workouts are fantastic lately, too. I'm upping my game, pushing to find my muscle failure weights - which are turning out to be far heavier than I expected, and I am finding that I can see the changes in my body. That, too, makes me not only feel good about what I see in the mirror, but also about my behavior changes. Seeing results is extremely motivating for me.
There you have it - me in a nutshell today!
