Oh Shel I laughed out loud reading that and Im still giving you diplomacy points. Giant Chicken Skin BA HA HA
Did you enjoy your ostrich farming info session?
I havent forgotten the cow pictures - will take some shortly as they are in the house yard helping to eat down the grass as we enter snake season.
Just have to get them to come over - as they are as fat as mud and I dont supplement with hay so no incentive to come over and bellow at me for easy food :)
Have just organised 3.5 tonne of mulch to be delivered - we will put around the driveway trees tonight. Love having a tractor and tipper trailer to assist. Imagine doing that by hand :)

Good Morning! I had a long night, but of the best kind. I slept. Granted, it was interrupted sleep, but it really was quite delicious! I am feeling relaxed this morning.
Weight is back down in the 251s. That works for me. (I think it was Diane O. who let go of the tenths of a pounds some time ago and I have to say it is a freeing concept. I no longer get too hung up on the tenths. Notice I did say, too!)
Yesterday our good friends with the two Airedales I groomed arrived with a "get well/care" package. Food, of course. A lovely large bag of oranges, three gallon bags of dog food their dog didn't like (which I will end up throwing out), and a homemade zucchini bread. Guess which of those three Ron and I got into last night while watching tv? The oranges, of course! LOL - NOT! Damn, slid right down the slide into two slices of zucchini bread. Could have been worse. Oh, well... Onward! Anyhow, with my weight in the 251s I am so close to the 249s that I can taste it, so that is my next little number goal. just gotta keep stringing the days together.
My workout with the trainer yesterday was "fun". I was not sure I was going to enjoy this departure to a highly aerobic and body weight workout, but I did! We started off with wall mountain climbers, followed by lateral plank walk with push ups one way down the ladder then a sideways two step back and forth through the ladder and then the lateral walk push ups back the other way. For the final two exercises in the routine I threw an exercise dice and did what I rolled and then the trainer got to roll and I had to do that! We did three sets of that routine and then followed it up with some weighted chest isolation work at my request. It was a strong 45 - 50 minute workout. I loved that the routine pushed me just beyond my comfort level, but didn't make me feel gross as a too hard routine can do.
Today to do list includes working on dogs, shopping, food prep, and house work. Oh, and I have no idea where my glasses are. I suspect dogs to be the culprits, but I can not yet place the blame 100% for I have not discovered mangled and chewed up glasses in the yard or house - and believe me, I've looked. Wearing my dime store cheaters for now!
Liz, so glad that DH enjoyed the wedding. What a great turn around from the prior day. I'm sure that added to your joy of the day! Hope you and DH have a relaxing last day and get back home to the cape with ease. Wondering how far Anne has gotten in her travels. Hope everyone has a peaceful and fulfilling Sunday.
Question of the Day: Do you suppose the significant reduction in sugar consumption is significantly responsible for the upswing in mood even with all that is going on at home?
Yes to QOTD. Sugar reduction and perhaps some good feels about being able to reduce sugar??? Keep stringing!
Your workouts do sound like fun! That ladder in the video was a million feet long.

Greetings Froggy Friends
No weight today. Forgot. DH was annoyed with me and had to discuss it before I had even had any coffee. Oh well. It shall pass.
Liz glad the wedding was fun and DH did well. All your travel and the planning it takes makes me tired just thinking about it. Guess I am a home body. But the whole Boulder area is so beautiful. I used to have a friend near there and went often.
Great looking frog DianeO. Love how bright and shiny it is. Looks like you have some cool painted stones too. I used to have quite a few cement yard art things - like a cement armadillos - but we decided they didn't need to move cross country. Sold it for $5.
Well its countdown to Halloween around here and the crush is on to get the living room dejunked and the table and counter cleared off so I can serve food. Some of my invitees have not responded so I have no clue on numbers. I usually make two soups - beef barley and a veggie. But the person who is the big fan of the beef barley won't be here and I may just get costco soups. One person can't eat beans, one hates all seafood so that narrows it a bit. One guy is such a chocolate freak that I always get him his very own bag of Dove Dark. My former self would have gotten one for me too. And my former self would have eaten every one of the Reeces by now instead of about 6 over 3 days. Baby Steps.
Good on you Peps for the work out and good night's sleep. Zuccini bread is forgivable. I may have told you about my friends who had so many they made a speed bump out of them and drove over it.
Bonnie150, eat some peanut butter for all of us. Thinking of you.
Well time to rock and roll. Or at least get more coffee. Diane S

Weight 170.2 Calories ??? I blame tortilla chips ans guac at the restaurant. But it was delicious.
Had a great time with my friend at the symphony and dinner. It was fun to dress up and feel pretty. Today I am going to a friends and family hiking event for my friend who is a volunteer for a local nature conservancy. Should be a nice day for it.
Sweet frog, Diane!
Glad the wedding was fun for both of you, Liz!
Shel, you intrepid hiker! Hope you stay dry...
Peps, I had some thoughts about your feeling strong in the midst of Ron's health issues. A weird phenomenon I felt when my mom was sick and when my Dad was in the worst of his cancer treatments was, when faced with people I loved's lives being in turmoil, I took better care of my health. Maybe it's a subconscious feeling of wanting to make sure I would be there for that person since they were struggling to be there for themselves. Or maybe it was a way of reinforcing that I still had control over my life when they were facing things in their lives they couldn't control. Like reaffirming my life while theirs was in peril. Maybe both or maybe something else. So for me there is something in there about grabbing control in the face of chaos... Then again, sugar clouds your brain function, so maybe you recognize the need to be clear headed with all that you have going on!
Good Morning All - working from the farm and loving it. Rewarded with a beautiful sunset last night - DH took a panorama pic which I will share below. Hope it works
Had a busy weekend - Grandsons 1st birthday on Saturday then we drove 3/4 of the way to the farm before DH realised he had left both his glasses and mobile at home ! Oh dear - so we had to turn around. That was 4 hours round trip. Finally left home again at 10pm and got to farm at 1.30am - a little tired. Spent yesterday slashing and mowing. Driveway trees all tidied up and grass around the shed/mini house is now short in preparation for summer. Its been a dry season so will need to keep on top of it. Plus the snakes are on the move already not that we have seen any but they will be around
Looking forward to a peaceful day with lovely views while I work. DH is up here also till Wed night - hes working from home today then will go to the army base Tue & Wed
No weigh in for me as dont have scales. Will sort that one day
Hope you are all well and I will play catch up with posts shortly and reply in them
Happy Aussie Monday and Sunday evening to you all
Shirley :)
