Happily, yesterday morning's yoga class was very much about restoration and stretching, so thanks to the yogini angels who fulfilled my wishes. :) I didn't get enough sleep last night either, but today I have access to adrenaline, as well as coffee and water.

Today's my first big driving day - nearly 400 miles. With pee stops and stretches, that's probably 7-8 hours. Instead of reaching a new speed goal (always my native instinct), today I'm going to focus on arriving safe and relaxed.

My posts here will be spotty for the next week and a half, but I'll be lurking and reading at bedtime and with morning coffee.

Today's theme, thanks to the Hills Street Blues sergeant: "Hey, let's be careful out there!"

There will be a brief window of sun, with a high of 51 today. We'll pack up and bring home SS today as it is supposed to resume raining late today through Tuesday, expecting up to 2 inches. I don't mind sunny and cold, but damp and wet... not so much !

Went yarn shopping before DC's Social Security Disability psych appointment yesterday. I'm knitting a multi color lap blanket for my mom's retirement home, and was looking to match some of the colors with solid strips, I'll then crochet together. When winterizing the outside, I also noticed our garden frog was quite faded and lacked pizzazz. I'm restoring him to more than his original state. I neglected to take a before picture, but I'll take an after picture for sure.

Today, I intend to find some pizzazz and restore myself to more than my original state. Off for more coffee !

Good morning! Today the wedding activities start with a get together late afternoon at a brewery. Of course that will be followed by the third game of the World Series.

I was wide awake from sometime just before 4, so I got up at 5. I guess I might as well start resetting to east coast time because I have a lot to do when we get home and won't be able to slowly adjust (though DH can).

Yesterday we took a walk around Boulder Reservoir and Coot Lake (pic below). There was a beautiful view of the mountains and the weather was incredible. We stopped at Union Station in Denver for lunch on the way here. Interesting place but it cost almost as much to park in the city as for our lunch. Today I think we are going to bring a picnic lunch to Roxborough State Park which is supposed to have some cool rock formations. We are in a studio with a kitchen and living area for these last few days which makes it easier to have some friendly food around.

Good morning all movers and shakers. Sounds like a hopp'n day for many. Safe and happy trails to all. Make memories while enjoying the here and now of the day.

No travel for the likes of me- however, Saturday am off to the theatre again- to see Luther, the Rock Concert--how's that for a twist. (supposedly a celebration of the 500th anniversary of Luther's....). May be interesting.

Late as usual--off to school. Enjoy!!

Greetings My Peeps

151 today. Thats in spite of some contraband Halloween candy. DH brought home a big bag from Costco. We need it as we get so many kids but did he have to get one with peanut butter cups??!! The stuff I bought remains unopened.

Well we got through the overflowing toilet crisis at the studio. Tree roots in the system. There is a tree near the pipes that we need to cut down and kill off. Its not a redwood nor anything nice so no great loss. Then the payroll was messed up. Seems like I was running in circles getting nothing done. So I unloaded a kiln which added 1500 steps to fitbit.

Great view in Boulder Liz. Hope the wedding goes well. Safe travels Ann.

One thing on Halloween I discovered is at the dollar store you can get bags of little plastic rings that are skulls or spiders and kids really liked that. Years ago I wrapped up dimes in tin foil which kids liked but these days probably parents wouldn't allow. Closing up is not an option at our house. There are just so many kids that come to our neighborhood. And there were posts about our street on our little town's facebook page so it will be more than ever.

No special plans for the weekend other than football and trying to pull some art pieces together. The galleries are already asking for Christmas photos and I have nothing. I got scheduled to work Christmas Eve which is ok since I don't have any kids but I am planning on closing early. What are they gonna do, fire me?

Diamond D, sweet story on the half of a brother. Nice for all. Thanks for telling us about it.

Dinner last night was steak and asparagus. Shrimp tonight.

DH had 1 month follow up with his surgeon on his hernia repair. Dr. thinks the repair may have indeed failed and is sending DH for a scan. This means he has to go through this all over (maybe) and it will have to be open, not laparoscopic. Makes me wonder if we should go to someone else. I have told DH he should at least consult someone else but he doesn't seem to want to. Oh fudge.

Time for more coffee. Cheers. Diane S

Oh, no on the potential need for a redo. So hope that is not the case.

Weight 168.6, calories 1358. Ah, breathing space. Literally. My tightened stomach muscles were squeezing me like a python with the extra pounds. Tracking and watching calories works, my friends...

Watched a great series on Netflix yesterday, The Bodyguard. Very suspenseful!

Today I'm having lunch with a friend and hopefully tackling a house pick up project of some sort. My house has too much stuff and needs to be cleaned up.

Happy Friday, all! Safe driving, Ann!
