I see the moon
The moon sees me
God bless the moon
And God bless me.
Wonderful quote, Ann.

Ooops- I think maybe I may be miss quoting the play.

The moon has been gorgeous. As is Boulder, CO, our home for 2 days. We are staying in a "boutique " inn in downtown and can walk to all the cool places here. We had great and cost effective Mexican last night. I had the innards of 3 tacos - one was lamb and was really good!
We also watched most of the World Series game last night - thank goodness they start earlier here. Go Red Sox!
I woke up at 4 with the Hall door wide open and DH not in bed. Panic! But he was in the bathroom (where I put a nightlight but he closes the door each of the 6+ times he visits there at night). I guess I will have to put a piece of furniture in front of the hall door (he had to undo 2 locks to open it). Not a great fire safety move, but I won't put anything too heavy there. This constan****ching him and getting up all night is part of why traveling is exhausting for me. I feel like I never get a thorough night's sleep.
Eating has been mixed. I've eaten and drank stuff I usually wouldn't but for the most part in reasonable quantities. Being away from home in places with cookies out all the time is not good for me though.

Hello all,
I have enjoyed the pictures! Ann, I loved your tutu....I didn't have it pictured correctly in my mind at all. I'm not surprised that your version is so much better! (In my version, there was more tulle and judgmental side eyes.)
Liz, your trips do sound exhausting but I enjoy them from afar. DianeO, do you still live on earth? I can't tell by your weather. Yes, RUN to CA! Dave, I fired up pressure cooker pho. Soup's on! I have some chicken stock, too, that is crying for vegetables but that will have to wait. Peps, taking care of your pups is self care in my book. Cecily, glad you seem to be back into a groove. Shirley, I'm looking for a reason to buy your boots.
Yes, perhaps the group funk is turning. Diamond, hope you are starting to feel better, too. B150, constant good wishes flowing your way.
On the home front, yesterday DH sought assistance from the doctor he doesn't like. That had to be hard -- he doesn't like to do things if cir****tances aren't just right. His pimple boots haven't arrived that I know of. Gee, I wonder why he might not show me?
Per the internet, another name for peanuts is goobers. Did someone hack the internet to see if they make goober happen? If so, I'm rolling with it. I bought 14 oz of goobers today because I couldn't find just the right kind of goobers for yogurt in the bulk section. I rarely keep goobers around -- they are even worse than peanut butter. Typically I buy tiny, TINY quantities. I put the opened container in my hiking foods which I typically leave alone. But goobers? I might need to move them into the garage -- or, simply add 14 oz to MFP and call it done.
Hugs to all! Shel

Do they still have the movie candy called Goobers? They were chocolate covered peanuts. And then there is the jar of alternating peanut butter and grape jelly by Smuckers (though I've always thought the consistencies were too different to put in the same jar) called Goober Grape...
We refer to the gunk that gathers in the corner of the dogs' eyes as "eye goobers", so it's not a terribly appetizing word around my house.
I am not familiar with Goobers the candy mostly because I would never buy candy at the movies. (I don't even have words for why I drew a line at movie candy!)
But, "goober" has always implied something icky to me, too. I was sort of hoping it would keep me out of them. (They have moved to the garage.)
Goober grape doesn't sound very good either!

Just to add an Aussie Spin
We used to call our Geese Goobers - Goober Goose and my SIL called his mate Buggar - I laughed n laughed when she told me - let the mind wander
Just about to finish my working day and go get my errands done - Dinner is all prepared - so thinking I will make some zuchinni loaves for the freezer as they have all but disappeared
My family down in the piney woods of NW Florida call them Goober-peas, and love love to eat them boiled in their own "pot liquor". I can just about guarantee eating peanuts that way would put a person off of them forever! Some few miles north, Dothan, Alabama is celebrated as the "official" Peanut Capital of the World.
