Greetings Boot lovers

Boots galore! I regret to inform you that I don't have any except for these bright yellow rubber ones for muddy yard days. I just can't wear any type of boots due to flat feet and crappy ankles. Poor me.

I think I weigh 151.5 today. Ambiguity due to the fact that I broke out the heavy duty flannel pj's last night and am not sure what they weigh. Its been nippy cold here. Scrabble will be indoors and I am hoping there will be a fire in the wood stove there. Nothing like wood heat.

Tesla is beside herself with joy. DH went out in the yard and collected about 20 dog toys that were out there and brought them in. Once they go outside the dogs forget about them. Now its as though its Christmas and she has a pile of new toys. She is torturing her dad with one.

Hey Ann, gotta get us a picture of your "costume". And good for you for taking it to the dentist. It is, after all, Halloween plus its Tutu Tuesday. Sometimes a guy at the clay studio wears a green one.

I made soup with wontons again last night. So warm and comforting. I also had a protein enhanced milk called tru-moo. As expected, it was disgustingly sweet. Not again.

Cecily glad you had a good appointment. Let us know if you find a good movie.

Rock shoveling Shirley!! Makes me hurt just to type the words. But its the best exercise - moving and getting a chore done to boot! (tee hee - boot).

Bonnie 150 you look great in those boots. Shel please report on how your DH is doing with the pimple boots.

All is well here. DH is getting better and sees the doctor for follow up Thursday. I think he will be off the lifting restrictions which means its time to rake leaves. Scrabble and studio and trip to Target for me today. Cheers all. Diane S

Diane, I have those same "Morton Salt" yellow rain boots. Love 'em.

And if you told me before about "Tutu Tuesday" I did not remember it was a thing. This is good news to me. :)

A pair of cowboy boots once saved my life! I was a preteen, relatively new to horseback riding. I was out alone, almost home, cantering, when the saddle slipped down the side of my horse Frisco. I laid, stunned, on the gravel, noting that I was still moving. My foot had not come out of the stirrup, and I was being drug down our long gravel driveway, by my now crazed horse. The screaming probably pushed him over the edge. Eventually, my foot slid out of the boot, as it is designed to do, and I again laid stunned, on the gravel, bloodied, bruised, scrapped and alive. It didn't stop me from riding though I did become an expert at bareback riding for awhile. Somehow it just felt safer. ;)

Well one time I was leading a horse and I was wearing heavy riding boots. The horse stepped on my foot and stood there. I could not lead the horse because I could not move with a horse on my foot. I finally just leaned into the horses shoulder and pushed it off. No damage thanks to boots. ds

I was the insane teenager who used to take my horses out trail riding bareback with nothing but a bosal. So much fun! I wonder if I would still ride that way, if I was still riding. Hmmmm.... probably not, but maybe.

And yet another thing, I'm having a lot of trouble with sciatic pain in BOTH my hips. Sigh. Yesterday, as I left work, I had to do the shameful one step on the stairs at a time. So I finally went to the doctor. Starting prednisone tomorrow. In the meantime, I have some muscle relaxant. Having never taken them, I showered and jammied, in case they knocked me out. Turns out they are not having the huge drowsy impact I anticipated, but I do feel some relief. But then I got a Charlie horse cramp in my foot. C'mon!!! This would be the opposite of a relaxed muscle. There are dreams that cannot be .....

One of the symptoms of pinched nerve in the spine is lower extremity cramping. My feet were cramping like crazy before back surgery. Now it has only happened once. Keep an eye on it.

Hmmm ... thanks for that info, David, about pinched spinal nerve and lower extremity cramping. I've been having more cramping the last few years. I'll take a look at some of my yoga postures to see if I am doing them correctly.
