10/22/18, Monday
Running in with a cup of tea to start my Tuesday morning - 5.50am and I have already dropped DH to the train station, showered and now here trying to catch up on all your news. Sorry I didnt make it from Sat till now - crazy crazy busy. Huge weekend getting things done around the house. We had 2.8 tonne of road base delivered so DH, DS and I shovelled it over our new car parking area and it was compacted down. Looks great. There was the usual laundry etc, cleaned windows inside and out on one side of the house and pressure cleaned the deck - filled all of our bedroom window after the sill was replaced in preparation for painting and sanded. We put the deposit on our "new" secondhand kitchen and arranged to collect on 10th November - exciting. Also hung new double blinds in all the bedrooms - finished Sunday by making a home grown lamb roast which was delicious. My weight is down this morning to 167.86 - lil shock there 1.7 lbs lost in a week but I will take it - TTOM finally made herself known too.....
Yesterday was hectic - Mum came to stay Sunday night as I took her for her second cataract surgery yesterday. We see the surgeon this afternoon so fingers crossed. I also had that Body Corporate meeting for my gf's son - which was mostly ok - I must say that woman makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up and I just dont bother trying to hide my dislike for her - funnily I am not alone there - inclusive of the Body Corporate Manager (whom has a harder job as he needs to maintain professionalism) Anyway it was an hour of tension then done. I called the guy on the way home to update him and he was quite anxious - ended up correcting a few behaviours and told him off a lil as he focused on his dislike of her over anything reasonable. A rare thing but everything needs to happen sometimes. So there we are - should be done for another year and Im now an approved advocate for him so it should make things easier in the future. His refusal to even be in the same room as her could prove challenging but hey life wasnt meant to be a breeze huh :)
I will go back and re-read the posts I missed and do my best to respond. Today is another crazy day - Take mum for a blood test, drop DH ute to have the Turbo replaced under warranty, 1.45pm Mum Surgeon apt and I have a Natropath appointment at 3.30pm. Thankfully I made dinner yesterday so just have to buy the makings for a salad - we are having curried tuna rice slice and salad. Still trying to clear out the pantry and freezers but seem to put more "made" meals in all the time LOL - dinner anyone? Still snuffly on the cold front but definately improving. Sporting 2 sores on my nose from blowing it continually - so attractive but getting better so thats a good thing. Now to just get rid of the red honker by our grandsons 1st birthday party on Saturday - else makeup will be my friend.
Well I best go get my work day started :)
Keep smiling and sending some Australian Sunshine to those experience cooler days

Awwww - I didnt shovel as much as the boys as Im still battling a head cold but Im guessing thats how the scales went down this morning when I remembered to weigh :)
I dont do any formal exercise - tend to find that all the running around works well for me between both properties
Hope you are doing well :)

Off to the therapist in a minute. Not sure what we'll talk about because I never seem to know what I want to discuss, but I never seem to like talking about what she wants to talk about. My fault, I know, for not setting the topic. Sigh. The things that bother me most are old topics that we've hashed over to death and I'm embarrassed to still not have fixed those things and rehashing seems pointless if they never get fixed.
I got lots of blood drawn this morning for my bariatric levels tests. I'm looking forward to seeing those although I had a nightmare that everything was off and my doctor was trying to figure out what I did wrong to mess myself up so much. Anxiety dreams strike again...
Other than that, nothing else rattling around in this brain except good wishes for all of you!
PS - I may have to break down and buy a lotto ticket. If I win, I'll fly us all somewhere gorgeous on a private jet so we can commune with each other in person!
Thinking of you Cec - Hope the appointment goes better than you expect x
And also with the vampire visit
Wouldnt it be amazing to meet everyone face to face - you all seem so lovely and genuine. FYI DH & I are coming to the States next Sept - Oct - will be LA, Las Vegas, San Fran and Lake Tahoe - maybe we can gather the ones over this side and have a meal together - or share one at least? Thank you for inviting me here - its exactly what I had been looking for
Have a wonderful day
Shirley
keep me in mind! Las Vegas, in particular, is super cheap to fly into. (Not sure about the others)
