Thanks Ann. It was an absolutely gorgeous day yesterday and today promises the same! I'm glad we got out here as DH has really enjoyed the time with his brother (and it is just lovely here).

Greetings My Tribe

down a half today to 151.5 for no known reason but who cares. Another day to begin again.

DianeO it makes sense to stay close to home with DC's upcoming procedures. There will be plenty of time for sun belt glamping in the future. (autocorrect says clamping). My DH used to have one of those light boxes to use for SAD. Might help you. Lots of SAD around here due to rainy overcast winters. I think that health clubs should create a gym room that has a whole lot of light similar to sunlight that people can spend time in.

Ann sorry for your continued pain. Are memorials being planned? Seems there is little to heal such pain except time.

Shel, ostrich cowboy boots? Really? Being from Nebraska I get what a hoot that is. Does your DH know he would get beat up if he went into a real western bar wearing those? Oh well, whatever makes him happy. I would be equally as flabbergasted if my DH ordered cowboy boots. He still wears the same pair of deck shoes I gave him 25 years ago. My DH is on the top 10 most wanted criminals of the fashion police.

So Shirley, what are the rules in Australia for cowboy boots vs pig farmer boots?

Bonnie150 good on you for reaching out for information pertaining to your upcoming procedure. Being mentally prepared is important. You should keep a journal of your thoughts (maybe you already do) as you write so well and have a gift for introspection.

Yesterday I visited Tesla's breeder for grooming. Its about 45 minutes away. Its always fun to go there as they always seem to have a puppy or two around. There are two that are going to new homes soon so I got to hug them. Rosie and Roosevelt. Also a 7 month old named Buzz. Tesla is a complete brat about being groomed and always has been. I always take tribute - several bottles of fancy organic wine and a cute tea towel with otters on it.

Well Diamond, let us know if your group got the canabis thing figured out. Part of the issue around here is that details are left to the municipalities and so many things can vary. At the gallery yesterday I had the door open and I could smell pot smoke most of the day from the plaza across the street. I am sure its forbidden in public places but what's to be done?

Peps hope the recovery continues for Ron and that your sugar fast continues to go well. Looking forward to seeing you at Napa.

Liz, Domaine Serrine looks wonderful. Enjoy your trip.

Well I am about to enjoy some more coffee. Cheers. Diane S

I definitely thought about him getting beat up tho I didn't say anything.

He doesn't have the right personality to take a good nature ribbing, either. My family in the cattle business would have noticed regular cowboy boots, but not likely said anything out of politeness. They are, after all, just shoes, tho obviously not tools of the trade for DH.

But Ostrich? They would not be able to contain themselves.

I eagerly await Shirley's Australian take on all things cowboy boots.

Hey Diane

We dont tend to differentiate between farmers as such but this is the standard workboot everyone wears - myself included

https://www.blundstone.com.au/mens-or-womens-stout-brown-dre ss-boots-style-500

Good n sturdy and you can hose off the mud n poo etc :)

These are what my DH wears as a dress boot

This is probably the closest equiv to the one Shels DH bought but I afraid I would have a very similar reaction if my DH bought them. You would have to pick me up off the floor from fits of giggles :) As long as it makes him happy I guess :) Life is too short but to enjoy it

Being able to hose off poo is important! We had boots for that, too.

Then there were working cowboy boots for people like my dad and fancier dress cowboy boots which my immediate family didn't buy. But, extended family would sometimes have dress cowboy boots.

I just realized a needing a boot for every purpose started on the farm.
