Greetings Perfect People

Well maybe we are not all perfect but pretty dang close! I am not so perfect at 152 but far better than the 249 I once weighed.

Ann, I may have already told about my DH hiatal hernia repair done about 6 months after his vsg. Dr Cirangle said he thinks being super fat hold everything in place and when the fat is lost the hernia moves. DH had a lot of gerd and nausea. Dr. C repaired it and it has worked very well and it was a pretty easy recovery. I agree with you on the RNY - no way. I have never understood how that could possible help reflux but I ain't no doctor. I could almost taste that carbonara. Yum.

Thinking of Devon and Ron. Life can change so quickly. Lets hope it changes back to normal quickly. That goes for everyone.

Liz safe travels. Glad you have a little snuggle time with Justice. Hope he is getting along with Lavender (whom I think you should call LaLa).

Yikes BB, I didn't realize you had so many foods that disagree with you. That makes it tough. Time for some good old chicken soup? I am lucky that no particular foods bother me except for amounts. I overdid on chili last night that DH brought home.

Studio day today and a dog walk. I signed up Tesla for four days of dog shows in Napa - was hoping to see Peps but now that's not likely. Grooming of her has to be done Sunday at her breeder's. She hates it and behaves terribly. We have to shove food in her all the time to get her not to act up. Sounds like my childhood.

Watched episode 2 of the Romanovs. Completely different characters. I guess each episode is about some different people who claim to be Romanov descendants. I liked the first one better.

Shirley I think you should give your cows new names. B8 sounds like a bingo game. Actually Bingo would be a good cow name.

Well take care all. The coffee won't make itself. Diane S

Good Morning All - Up early as I went to bed so early after overdoing it a little. Sitting having a cup of tea and listening to the rain on the roof. Love that

I think my head cold has finally decided to start to leave. I took Friday off work as I have months of sick leave - slept in and then took myself off for a pedicure. New shiny toenails with sparkles are a sure thing to make you feel better right? Was craving Roast Chicken and avocado so bought some. Came home and shared with my DS who then helped me poision all the spring weeds. We had 4 cubic metres of Road Base delivered which DH, DS and I shovelled and spread. I didnt do as much as I normally would have - being so clogged up - breathing was harder.

DS did the lawns and I got a couple of loads of laundry done, plus cleaned the dishwasher and the washing machine. Feeling of achievement. DH went out to see his DD but I opted to stay home and have an early night.

Equally busy day today. DS is off doing his catalogue run, DH has bloodwork at 8am followed by Eye Check. DS and I are collecting our new glasses at the same time. I pick DH's glasses as he has shocking taste (well with the exception of choosing me ha ha ha) then we are off to pick up a bedhead for my DS room. It will mean we can get the new double blinds put up. At 1.30pm we are going to inspect a second hand kitchen we just bought. Im super excited AUD $1000 for everything incl stove. oven, rangehood and sink. It will start the renovations we have always said we wanted to do but I may live to regret this short term.

Liz - Hope your trip/flight goes ok and DH settles well

Ann - Yum Pasta - I love it but cant eat much these days. And you are perfect :)

BB - Wow I didnt realise you couldnt have so many foods bummer! Glad the flea situation is settling

Cec - Im with you re reigning in the eating - dont know whats going on with my body at present but hungry

Diane - Yes B8 or boofer mumma as I often call her is a cutie - I will take pics next weekend when Im back at the farm

Devon - sending you both all my strength. Hope things are a little clearer today and you have wonderful support x

Well I best go and have that second cup of tea - DH is fasting so I will get fed and watered while hes still sleeping so its not in his face

Have a wonderful evening all :)

Will post Kitchen pics tomm if I remember

Shirley

Serenity is not in my wheel house. If I had any sense, I'd pack all essentials in SS and get away. I can't leave Atlas. Not a good day. Thank God for dogs.

Sorry you are having a rough day. Hope it turns around soon. Must be something bad in the stars with Ron having stroke and others having issues. This too shall pass. Diane S

Hi all,

Late check in. Thank you all so much for the good wishes! Ron is home, with his feet up and has agreed to follow doctor's orders and take a full week off from school/work. Hallelujah!

Brain MRI came back showing a true stroke. Boooo! Well, what is is. Can't go back and change anything. What we can do is move forward. I'm keeping some feelings in check, however. Ron has told me (and a few others) that I need to stop bringing this or that into the house. I feel defensive when he says, "We need..." I don't know why that bothers me with him, but it always has. I believe it's one of his ways of not taking responsibility for his own actions or self. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I want to tell him I'm not the one who stops and buys chili cheese dogs at Burger King for a snack on the way home, or I'm not the one who stops to get milk shakes at 31 Flavors or Carl Jr.'s, and I'm not the one who doesn't make his own lunch and goes out to get something for lunch every single day. But, today I say those things only here. No need to jostle the beast!

I am feeling very glad that he has listened to reason and will take a week off. One of his ER docs told him he could go back to work on Monday. His neurologist told him that she wanted him to take a week off and why. That did the trick. He has follow ups over the next several weeks and we will find out the depth of the urology issues. For now he has a catheter until November 1.

Bright spot.... Was down another pound today! Go me....
