Weight 124, calories 798. A new post-WLS high. I could tell I was retaining water yesterday (not enough bathroom trips relative to liquid consumption but geez...). MUST stop eating out, having wine and generally eating too much 2-3 times a week.

Today we are going on a catboat sailing charter on Martha's Vineyard arranged by my stepdaughter for DH's birthday and Christmas present. There are 6 of us going. We are taking the 10:30 ferry over to the island. Should be fun, but may be cool (lots of layers indicated).

Have a marvelous Monday!

Quick post this morning. Weight is the same as yesterday ... 135.8. Tomorrow is last day of Prednisone.

Today I'm driving to The Big City again to do another bariatric educational seminar presentation, some errands, Columbus Day shopping, and lunch.

Finished mowing yesterday, just in time for some nice showers. Good timing. :)

Today's theme: Mondays invite new beginnings.

Hi, all. Having typed a day opening, and thought to open another window and check to see if in the interim someone else posted ahead of me (Hi, Liz), I then, could not figure for the life of me how to transfer my post into the reply section of the new window. Swoosh- into the ether it went. A lengthy tome- all about, well...

Sometimes putting words-thoughts-musings down is more about what I need to read- know- communicate to myself. (How's that for putting a positive spin on an otherwise aggravating moment?)

Anyways, much good and positive re. all on this board. To sum up-

SMILES, LOVE AND HUGS YOUR WAY TODAY.

Still haven't made it to the back yard to mow. Got the front done, and applied grub killer, and moved bag for the back out by the back door. I came in to do a couple of things and looked out and Atlas had dragged the whole bag into the yard, and chewed a hole in it, spilling granules. Atlas being Atlas, we had to assume he'd ingested some, to I grabbed my syringe and hydrogen peroxide and we forced him to vomit. Called poison control on the bag, and they advised us of possible irreversible neurological damage if he'd eaten a lot and it had made it to his bloodstream before we induced vomiting. Our Vet returned our emergency call, and reassured us that inducing vomiting right away was the best thing we could have done, and that serious consequences had most likely been averted. It was a rough few hours and over night checks, but he seems fine today. So, Atlas WILL get into anything and grubs in the lawn may not be the worst thing. No more pesticides (poison to animals) here.

Shel... I can't wrap my head around keeping my daily weight from being a focal point, etched in my brain. The idea of a smart scale that stores data until you need/want it is most likely the difference. Still struggling with this, but trying to shift my emphasis/focus to the other daily measures that need rounding out. Going to play with your MFP findings ! Ann..so thrilled that you have begun to habituate some desired behaviors.

Wow, what quick thinking on your part! What a good mom! (Patting you on the head.)

Smart scale was helpful -- keeping in mind that when your wifi pass changes then you have to change it on the stinking' scale! Tho, I bet there is an Alexa version available, available, tho, that would take care of that.

Wow! I'm glad Atlas is okay. I can't even imagine trying to induce vomiting in a dog (a child is hard enough).

Goldens too! Although some things you don't want them to vomit. Ferg ate Kilz primer the construction guys had left out once. Very caustic and poison control said not to induce vomiting. Of course his own stomach induced it. Cue a midnight drive to the emergency vet and a two night all-inclusive stay...
