I hope all goes well for DH today. Early start!
Weight 121.2, calories 973. Interesting discussion yesterday about whether to accept a small weight cree*****t. For me, the most difficult part is psychological. I still fit in my clothing fine - the gain seems to be mostly in my breasts and butt, which could use it, as opposed to the past when it always seemed to go right to my stomach (of course I was starting from a higher base). I think I'd like to try to drop back though. If I find it too difficult (if I eat properly and don't exceed my average calories for several weeks), then I may readjust my range. But I'm not ready yet!
It is super windy out this morning. It is supposed to be sunny, but the wind will make it feel much cooler. Regardless, I want to get Justice to the beach again today as he had such joy running and walking there yesterday. DH doesn't want to go anywhere because he says his knees hurt but won't take ibuprofen. Epiphany: I can put it in with his other meds and he likely won't notice!
This weekend is busy with SIL visiting, stepdaughter arriving for a few days, other SIL's Birthday and hopefully a charter boat sail on Monday (wouldn't you know that rain showers are predicted now).
Have a fine Friday!

I took a closer look at the OH Conference agenda for the day and nothing really grabbed me. A discussion on Keto, how to dress, plastic surgery, taking vitamins... meh. Maybe I'll go shopping instead as I have a cute outfit on today rather than slob clothes. Though I did just buy a ton of stuff from Boden online yesterday...
Pilates update: I'm sooooore. The end.
Otherwise, nothing much noteworthy going on. I did talk to my Dad. He teared up talking about Gracie, but seems to be coping well. He said Barkley seems confused that Gracie isn't there and that Fergus and I left. He keeps standing at the door to my cottage wanting to be let in. Poor baby.
If you are sore, you know you had a good workout! I enjoy the gentle yoga I go to but feel a little like I ought to do something somewhat more demanding...

Well we are back after getting up at 4 am for 5:30 check in. Surgery only took an hour so we were home by 1. Michael is somewhat unsteady so I am just letting him sleep. Its a chore to keep the dogs from jumping on him. Luckily we have a bed that raises head and feet.
I ate 3 cheese sticks and an Atkins bar while at the hospital waiting around. A crashing bore and they wouldn't turn the waiting room tv on any news channels. Just Matlock reruns. They say the news is too upsetting to people.
So all is well but I am one tired little puppy. Think I will go chew up a shoe.

I kind of have to agree the news is too upsetting. In my world they should just play HGTV Beachfront Bargain Hunt so I can indulge in my fantasy of living on a beach, any beach, in a house I can actually afford. Since I am unlikely to trade in my 8 minute commute at this time, the fantasy waits until retirement.
No solid plans for the weekend, except grocery shopping, and I couldn't be happier. Feeling very fatigued this week. Tomorrow I will restock on all the yummy foods that keep me away from sugar. This week it was a little wobbly due to dwindling supplies. I'm not good at deprivation. In order to eat well, my healthy foods need to be high on my desirability list (like shrimp). I have never been able to embrace the it's just fuel motto. It's fuel and hedonistic pleasure is my motto!
LOL! Beachfron Bargain Hunt is one of my favorite shows too!

And today it's, uncharacteristically for me, a late afternoon, drive-by post.
I can't remember if I mentioned that a friend (who acquired "the respiratory crud" about a week and a half ago when I did) wound up in the hospital with pneumonia. Yesterday I went to my doctor who said, "Yup, something doesn't sound good there," and I'm now enjoying doxycycline (antibiotic), Prednisone (steroid), and Albuterol sulfate (an inhaler). I HATE taking drugs like this, but I HATE WORSE the possibility of getting pneumonia.
This afternoon I had a bone density test. Bottom line is I'm "average," which means I have osteopenia, which means it's back to the twice-a-yearn Prolia shots for me.
I expect to gain a few pounds in the coming week. Thank you, Prednisone! But so far I'm exercising mostly as much as before this drug regimen, so I'll lose whatever I gain temporarily.
BTW, welcome Shirley from Australia. Good to see you here. :)
Good to see everyone here! BB Bonnie, I'm missing you -- is all OK in your part of Oklahoma?
See y'all on campus. :)
