And I'm laughing, too, David. :)
So good to hear your voice here. Thinking of you and still hoping all will now be uphill to the top of this mountain!

I did a lot with my grabber for months after surgery including pulling up my pants. I never realized how klutzy I am and how often I drop EVERYTHING until I couldn't bend over. That grabber can pick up tiny pills from the floor, pull up pants, throw doggie tennis balls, fish socks from behind the dryer, move paper towels to clean up spills, etc. Best money I ever spent!
Back home early from our adventure. Seeking serenity came to a screeching halt when a raucous group moved in next door and proceeded to raise the rafters higher than we could tolerate after an hour trail ride followed by a five Mile hike on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. I haven't straddled anything, let alone a horse, for over an hour since a glimmer of time in my early teens, when I was under 200 pounds and "allowed" on a horse. We drove home to seek our serenity. No scale until tomorrow. I'll get caught up on posts.

Tomorrow is homecoming at my high school. We've been dressing up in themes all week. Tomorrow students wear their spirit wear, pants covered in glitter and other spirity things, teachers wear referee jerseys. 100+ pounds ago, spirit days were another cause for anxiety, does the 290 pound teacher look like she's fun and playful, or does she look like a ridiculous clown, wondered my inner voice? And can she even find the themed items in her size? Nowadays I get them from Goodwill or my own kids closets. Seems like such a small matter in this world of complex problems, yet, 6 years later I am grateful still that I can have fun with my students, without the angsty inner voice.
Liz, You mentioned in yesterday's thread that getting a good deal is part of the shopping thrill. I totally agree, the deeper the discount the bigger the buzz. When someone compliments what I am wearing, I have to remind myself the correct response is, thank you, not, I got it for $5.97 on clearance with a coupon!!!
LOL! I have to remember that too!
