Busy Busy week with Homecoming events and my book fair. It took Bonnie forever to get out of her closet and it took forever for me to get out of my warm bed. The cold front came through...loving the cooler weather!

Welcome home, Ann! Healing for David. Glad you're okay, Cecily. Hoping for some answers and good health soon.

I'm so happy everyone shares their journey. Hoping it will click for me soon and start making some healthy changes which could produce a downward number on the scale. I've not given up but I just can't seem to get it together. Why is that!!

Grateful for all of you!

Dorothy: Oh, will you help me? Can you help me?
Glinda: You don't need to be helped any longer. You've always had the power to go back to Kansas.
Dorothy: I have?
Scarecrow: Then why didn't you tell her before?
Glinda: She wouldn't have believed me. She had to learn it for herself.....
Scarecrow: What have you learned, Dorothy?....

Scarecrow: But that's so easy! I should've thought of it for you -
Tin Man: I should have felt it in my heart -
Glinda: No, she had to find it out for herself. Now those magic slippers will take you home in two seconds!
Dorothy: Oh! Toto too?
Glinda: Toto too.
Dorothy: Now?
Glinda: Whenever you wish..........

Steph, You will. You will think it out-feel it in your heart, and then you will do it- in your time. You have the power; we all have the power.

Greetings Fabulous Ones

150.5 today so a good start. DH decided to update my computer operating system this morning so I couldn't get on and then I had to rush off and pick up payroll for studio and go to a board meeting. We have a new member who will be an asset I think. But it still amazes me how much off track people can get like fussing over the accountant's cover letter that every CPA in the world does. One minute we are on the topic of member sales and the next its whether some non present person would want to sell their stock. No one can read financial statements except me. Fortunately we are doing fine.

Bonnie love the quote about the minimal information a scale really gives. Why do we let it spoil our days? I agree you need to change to Bonnie140.

Ah, do I love coming home to the smell of cleaning products having been used in the house. Many people in our area seem to be chemically sensitive (that's one reason they live here - clean air). In my working days I would come home in a foul mood and immediately be uplifted by the smell of Pine Sol. Better than stinky dog.

Glad you are ok Cecily. You are allowed a funk or two. When I am in one, I find I sort of need a project. WLS was one such project. You should go back to your painting class as you have ability. As Bonnie150 knows, Dr. Art is a good thing.

So DH had another eye doctor apt and his eyes continue to change and he has a new prescription. I am hoping it works and that he does not need more surgery. Hernia surgery approaching for him but I think its outpatient.

Gonna make lentil pasta tonight. I have been sort of hungry a lot lately and its highly filling.

Hope everyone had a good day. Cheers. ****tail hour in California. Diane S

Thinking about Peps comment about our neural pathways, and coping. In my first few years post surgery, I was a shopping machine. I moved from living in a world of clothing famine, to every store becoming a clothing buffet! I think that's how my neural pathways got their hits of dopamine. I still love clothes and shopping, but the buzz has subsided a bit. Buuuutt, after 4 sugar free weeks, I hit the stores this weekend to refresh my fall wardrobe, and I'm still feeling the buzz. A new cardigan might cost more than a donut, but I think I wear the first better.

Ahhhh...That's why I love shopping so much! Iam waiting for a Lilly Pulitzer and a Lands End delivery now (all bought deeply discounted of course, which is part of the fun for me).
