133.4, holding pretty steady as of late. Still not getting in enough exercise but not eating too bad. Still not very hungry most of the time.
Had a hard day yesterday with lots of tears and sadness/feeling overwhelmed by life. Not sure what it is all about but as the song says, mamma said there would be days like this, there would be days like this mamma said!
Hoping for a brighter day today. Brisk fall air. We too have geese Bonnie and the sound of gun shots at dawn (duck hunting is upon us!)
Church and then some time with Kevin before he goes in for his 12 hour night shift at 5. Things are still going well on that front.
DS#1 finally got a job. Hallelujah! DS#2 starts school this next month and DS#3 is doing great in football and school. Just wish he would open up to his mamma a little more! He saw me crying in my office yesterday and quickly moved on down the hallway. The other 2 would have stopped and talked and hugged me. I'm not mad, I get that is typical behavior for almost 16 year old boy.
I host the JV football team for dinner on Tuesday. 35 football players eating pasta and sides at my house. Yikes!
JV football team! Pasta! Sides! You don't need plates, you need troughs.
Hugs to you, my friend. (Mama is always right.)

Hosting 35 high school football players? You are very brave (and a great Mom)!

Greetings Sunday People
151 which is ok considering how little I have done to change it. I did get a dog walk in yesterday. We encountered a very cranky little dog with a pleasant owner. Chip had to return some of his "attitude".
Its fall indeed here and the leaves are mounting up. But its not as big an issue here as it was in the midwest where we had far more deciduous trees. I miss the fall color though we do have one maple that is pretty showy.
And we have geese too. They are aleutian geese, smaller than the Canada geese and they eat loads of grass in pastures. There are also these odd looking hybrid geese where farm geese have mixed with wild ones. They kind of have their own field.
Paula, so glad you are posting and sharing and that your boys are doing well. Yep mama was right about such days. Just go with it. What fun that JV dinner will be. But how can you make that much pasta???? Figuring about a pound per kid means a swimming pool of boiling water!!
Bonnie150 so sorry for your loss of little Noodle. What a darling little creature. I have lost pets at home and via the vet and no way is easy. At the vet I always stay with them and hold them to the end. Last time DH couldn'****ch and had to leave. So hard to lose these special animals. All dogs go to heaven.
Well our football game yesterday was downright UGLY. Our team was so bad - negative rushing yardage for awhile. They fired the head coach about 10 years ago after a 9-3 season and its been downhill ever since.
Dinner last night was canadian bacon and a half ear of sweet corn plus a few cherry tomatoes. Delightful. And I managed to avoid the chocolate cake as I have convinced myself it is stale and I will toss it.
Not much planned other than a dog walk and maybe dealing with some of the leaves in the front. The neighbor lady is kind of fussy about her lawn and we don't want our leaves to kill her grass. Ditto our heathers.
DiamondD, as moderator I saw your attempted post. Please join this group and then you can post. Looking forward to you joining our group. Friend me too if you like. There is always more room in our little family.
Well onward to more coffee and to see what adventures the day brings. Diane S
Welcome to our group!

Post of New member Diamond D that O thought I would share:
Coming out of lurker shadows to post in the sunlight. I had a VSG over 6 years ago, and there hasn't been a day since that I haven't felt at least one moment of gratitude that there was a treatment available for my morbid obesity. I started at 293, my lowest was 153, and I've had the slow regain over the last 3 years. I'm not happy about the regain, but I am still ecstatic about the changes surgery brought to my life. I frequently say, that I got out of fat prison, and my good life became even better.
A little biographical info: I live in what we like to call the Bold North (Minnesota). Happily married for 31 years, 2 children, 25 year old dd who lives on the east coast, 23 year old ds who is finishing his last year of college in Wisconsin. In our home lives one geriatric cat who mourns his feline brother and his canine sister who sadly died in the last few years. I can still cry if I think about them too much. I teach high school special ed, and find it a very rewarding vocation most days. My favorite activity besides being with my husband and kids is travel, and if I can combine the two, even better. DH and I enjoyed 5 trips this summer! (We ended up with some airline vouchers we had to use up). My other favorites are theater, film, and reading. I'm trying to make exercise a favorite, but besides paddling around in the water on a hot sunny day, I'm not doing so well.
I've been lurking here a long time and love the vibe of this group. And Lord knows I need support with maintaining! Thanks for letting drop in!
Welcome DiamondD!!! I am so glad you posted! I'm originally from Iowa (now in WA state,) and have a brother in Monticello. Go drive by his roadside vegetable stand for me!
When I started here, I had no practice with forums, or, for that matter, weight maintenance support groups. But, I started posting because everything in the past had failed. It was time to admit that I did NOT have the answers built into me (gasp!) and look to others.
I have found this group to be very helpful in surprising, unpredictable ways. I look forward to hearing more from you :) I agree, being out of fat prison is awesome. I am so grateful for VSG.
