Weight? calories 1316, the excess calories consisting of rice and granola. The Irish Festival was really good yesterday, but we didn't get home until 7 so I was over hungry... I ate the wrong things due to bad planning/waiting too long to eat. Not happy with myself.

Today will likely be errands and some sort of a walk somewhere with Justice. He didn't get much of one yesterday so it will be good to get out. That's more or less all the news here today. The week is super busy so one last quiet day will be good.

Have a super Sunday!

First sound of autumn- geese in flight over the house.

We said good bye to Noodle last night. She went to sleep and didn't wake up this morning. No pain, but I am sad that she may have been lonely--we were not on watch. She would have been 15 this October 31 (birthday we assigned her when we got her as a 6 month old shelter dog). Noodle was a good dog, and well loved.

I'm so sorry you lost Noodle. It sounds like she had a well loved life and ideally she just died in her sleep. I'd like that to happen for Chiquita. It think euthanasia might be traumatic for her because she doesn't like being touched by most people.

Such a difficult time for you and Chiquita, too.

I don't know if the following helps you....but......When I put my dear Annie down, I held her in my lap, wrapped in her favorite afghan (made for me by a friend but she was delighted that Annie loved it, too) as the vet administered the injection. There was minimal touching from the vet. It was a quiet experience, except for me crying.

So sorry about Noodle's passing. But that is a nice way to go - falling asleep and not waking up. Noodle sure looked like she had some Cairn Terrier in her background. You are wonderful to have given her a long and wonderful life.

Thanks so much. When we got her we were told she was 1/2 Miniature Schnauzer and 1/2 Yorkie. The schnauzer took the wack out of the York--a perfect blend of both breeds that produced a beautiful personality.
