Beautiful dog! What improves between now and the first week of Oct? Maybe the coat growing out is the frosting on the cake?

Yup! It's the extra length in the coat on his back and sides that will bring it all together!

He'll also be a little heavier, which will help him look more substantial.

Surgery on Monday. I can say that I am a more than a little nervous. But Hopeful. Chronic pain is is a total energy suck. DW has been dealing with it longer than me but I seemed to be harder on my body during construction days. So I pay for it big time. Add years of obesity to my joint degeneration and I could keep whining but either way I remain hopeful for surgery. Recovery is what it will be.

The 3 lbs has remained off, YEA!Did not make 23 hours on my last fast but compared to grazing it was still a win.I went 15 hours.Plan to do it again tomorrow.

I have enjoyed the relationship discussion. Why do we pick the mates we pick?I went to a private Christian high school for one summer at 16.Met my wife there. We were on campus in a building that had rules plastered on every entrance.Like no bikes, no skate boards, no shorts etc.Across the lobby I see this angel with no shoes, wearing shorts pushing her bike through a large entrance.Time stood still. If love at first site is a thing, this was the case for me.I was looking for her self esteem that I did not have. She has been good for me.I still melt a little when I see her across the room.I am not saying we never have issues. But we are still friends and she has my back and I have hers.

Ann, Happy travels! Cecily, hope life the northern state that starts with M is going well.

Liz, Hard deciding what to do with older pets. I believe it is all about quality of life.

Diane O, it is very common to have issues with new RVs. It should not be but it is. They try to push production so fast to stay competitive. New airstreams are over $100K and they have the same issues. I can understand the problem of nobody wanting to pay for it. Bottom line, the dealer should make it right. Let them fight it out after they get you back on the road. I had issues with ho****er heater and AC/ heat pump. The ac was fixed and remains fixed the ho****er heater has been replaced after one repair with a non RV electric style. We are almost all electric. The refrigerator was the only appliance we did not replace because it was newer than the rest of it. It is still running. We will put in a totally electric fridge next. We are full time in one location so it does not matter to us as we do not camp or boondock. $200 vs $1500 is an easy choice for us. Next RV project: repair toilet and under pinning. Always something to fix. Insurance is different if they are underpinned around here.

Shell, being married and being married to someone that is disengaging in life are 2 different animals. Spoken from one that spent time trying to disengage. Still find comfort in quiet isolation.

BB,hope all goes well with job offers and baby sleep.Teething is the pits.

Devon, another bunch of puppies leaves the pack. I am glad for breeders like you. It is hard work, attachments made and broken, vetting process. I couldn?t do it. We rescued our pit bull when she was pregnant. Our groomer was a breeder at some point and gave good advice to keep the best pup till last. That way if you can not sell all 11 of them you get the best one of the bunch. She also said never give them away. If they can not afford to pay for the dog they can not afford a dog.

Diane S,I have not found a way to be paperless. There is always paper. As for DH... one should never be judged by what we yell at politicians. If you can look at the big picture there is not a lot of difference in the colors of government. They are all politicians.Never expect a dog to be a cat.

Paula, love the glimpses in your new love.

More later, David

A Thrilling Thursday to all!

Well, my two pounds off is still off. Hunh... Not sure what to make of it, cuz it was not from any effort to reduce on my part. Two pounds off is two pounds off and I am a glad recipient of this gracious reduction.

I am feeling better all around regarding the BP increase and the medicine I must now take to combat my hypertension. It is what it is. Besides, I have a plan in place to begin to deal with the daunting task of getting this weight off. I am slowly and painfully gaining the confidence I need to embark on this next leg of the journey. I am going to HAVE to really concentrate on working with my thinking and belief system so that I can maintain whatever weight loss achievements I can make.

I have to take up the Cognitive Behavior Therapy strategy of "Change the way you think to change the way you feel to change the way you act." If I can over time change my thinking to "I don't need sugar to feel good" or "Eating sugar truly inhibits me from leading a life if a right sized body" or something that will change my feelings and actions for the positive. I guess I will need to work on the replacement thought that will help me the most.

Love Auntie Kathryn. We are childhood friends. But like adult siblings, we don't always see eye to eye on certain things. She's driving me bat **** crazy with her constant negativity about how I feed my dogs and the puppies. I don't feed 100% raw like she does and she harps on it all the damn time. There is every single day some type of comment that leans heavily toward the negative. Tomorrow is her last day of nannying. I had hoped last week was it, but she insisted on coming this week, too. Today she insisting again that they don't like kibble. Interesting that they eat it when I'm home. Apparently they are also eating their own poop today. That would be something completely new, too. I simply think they didn't poop in their pen. Getting house broken as they get older. Anyhow...Booooo.....!
