VSG Maintenance Group
Sunday September 16, 2018
I just lost my post and had to start over again. I hate that!
We are ready to leave (in the lobby waiting for our transfer to the airport). We will be traveling about 16 hours in total today (from 10 am French time/4 am home time to 8 pm home time). Our larger suitcase is 100% full of dirty laundry. At least I could isolate it!
We are tired and ready for home and our normal routine. I wish we could be off completely tomorrow but at least our appointments are early in the day.
The picture below is from our Seine River Cruise last night.
Have a sunny Sunday!

Bye bye France! Safe, uneventful travels home and all the rest you can get before your appointments (what, tomorrow--yesterday??? Just what is it with these time shifts????). Welcome home.

Anticipating a lazy, hazy Sunday. There are things to do, but the weekend blinders are on and who knows, maybe one of those house elves will show up, apron strings tied and ready to roll. If not, oh, well.
Peps, I am awaiting the arrival of one of your sweet puppies on my porch any time now. Oh, rats! Guess you don't have my address, do you. It must be hard to say good bye just as they move into that delightful puppyfluffyness stage. Knowing they are going and will give much joy to well vetted homes must make it easier, I suppose.

Last night at the family birthday party, German chocolate cake and ice cream happened. It wasn't a lot, but was enough to explain this morning's stats.
It tickles me to watch others' regain weight steadily disappear and to hear about others' daily steps, gym work, and progress on projects. Some good work is happening here. :)
Liz, I'm sure thinking about you and Paul as you travel home. I hope your long day goes as well as it possibly can.
It's another pretty almost-fall day here. I'll be doing laundry, some extra book reading, and a little mowing, decluttering and unprocrastination. I plan NOT to drive into town.
Today's theme is my "metta" (loving kindness, compassion) mantra: May we be happy. May we be at peace. May we find an end to our difficulties.
P.S. Facebook just told me that today is Diane S's birthday. Happy birthday, VSG Maintenance Group Founding Mother Diane. :)

Greetings Sunday Peeps
Well started my birthday by being down half a pound - 150.5. Next I proceeded to pour ho****er into my coffee filter without having added coffee! Oh well, I am now 67 - can't remember everything.
Today we will go to a memorial service for DH's former choir director. A cool lady. Then off to the hippie street fair where tie dyed prevails. Its sunny and calm so should be good.
Dinner was a grocery store roasted turkey breast. Delicious and the dogs will get a share. DH just presented me with some new glassware - those old style coca cola glasses that have a narrow base and are easier for me to grip. I can't hold on to a wide based globe glass anymore.
Talked to my younger brother and older brother left a message. Younger bro finally thinks he has his house sold - a spectacular and very unique place but not easy to sell.
So I will wile away the day as the lady of leisure I have become. Maybe get the old dog out for a walk before the memorial. I hear the coast guard helicopters a lot this morning and they seem to patrol the beaches lots on sunny weekends.
Liz, safe travels on the way home. Hope DH can sleep on the plane some. Ann, have a good "stay at home" day.
Well our team lost yesterday but at least it wasn't a blow out. Another chance next Saturday.
Hey Peps, good on you for showing friends dog. Next time we are at shows at the same time I would hire you to show Tesla. I totally lack the tallent.
Time for more coffee and goofing off. Diane S
