Greetings Maintenance Buddies
Well heck, still at 151 in spite of dog walks and efforts to move more. Not enough, but then this regain has been over 3 years so I guess it won't come off in 2 days.
Thanks for the reminder Ann on decluttering. Thrift store takes donations today so maybe I will take some. I have been keeping a laundry basket for such stuff. Helps to have an ever present collection point.
Yay Bonnie 150, now Bonnie 138. You rock.
Liz years ago we stayed at a little hotel on the Rue Cler and it was such fun coming home and cruising that street for dinner. I soooooo remember the cheese store. Ate my way through it. Cheese, fresh bread, strawberries and champagne was dinner!
DianeO, so nice they spread that dirt in the backyard for you! Ready made garden. Sorry the RV has a few glitches but glad its getting fixed. Yep, it needs a name. How about "Apollo"?
Not much on today's agenda. Go to the bank to wire some money to brother, get vitamins, stop at the farmers market to look for vegetables, studio time, laundry, inspecting the progress in the back yard etc. And hey BB, having an infant sure is one way to keep from over eating at a restaurant. Just wait until she is in a high chair tossing food everywhere. I remember being in a restaurant with friends with a three year old who managed to put syrupy pancakes in her hair!
Well, off to tackle the days events, the first of which is a second cup of coffee. Diane S
Yes, RV needs a name....a female name as she is a she. I,'ll be thinking, but I'll take ideas !

Wt remains high. Regain is part of maintenance for many of us. Motivation to continue the fight was found this morning. Calories are low today.
No surgery yet. Back surgery is the 24 th. Surgeon said he did not want to get my hopes up. Then said he thinks he can help. I have spinal stenosis and the lower part of the nerve is compressed. He plans to open it up and remove a bulging disc and put a few screws in to stabilize the bones so they can fuse. I could let it go a while but he said I would have more symptoms than I have now if it continues to compress.
Mowed some this morning. Very good therapy. Mowing this much in September is unusual. Babysitting tomorrow. More mowing planned for tomorrow afternoon.
More later, David

David, great to see your post. This news all bodes well, to me, at least.
I had planned to mow today, but was just too pooped without enough sleep last night. Will mow tomorrow.

Well, that surgery sounds logical - I sure hope it does work.

Stress is building as puppy fly away home weekend approaches. Why? Contracts to be completed, go home packs need to be put together (care instructions, AKC registration stuff, microchip info, vaccination records, and...), food packs need to go home with each pup, leather leads and martingale collars.... 3 pups leave on Saturday. 3 Leave on Sunday.
Weight is stable. I haven't gained. I haven't lost. That's good. Will need to take a breath next week and figure out what the heck I'm doing.
That's all I got. Later Gators!
Which just reminded me! Justice is microchipped, but when I first tried to change the registration from the shelter to me I had to call them. They were supposed to notify me via email when done (I have no idea why it couldn't be done at the moment). They said it would take a couple of weeks, but I never received notice. When I get home I need to find the info and call again!
