We are currently waiting on our bus to get on the ferry to Northern Ireland. Goodbye Scotland! Yesterday we visited Robert Burns birthplace and stayed at a quaint old hotel on the Coast. I will try to get back on and add pictures later!

Liz, your pictures are lovely. That "quaint hotel" is precious and just what I'd hope for on a Scotland holiday.
And here, right on schedule, comes my Getting Right Back Up on the Horse miracle again: I'm down 3.4 pounds in 3 days after 5 days of travel. :) This weekend's rain has begun here, too. Thank you, Gordon. :)
Today's a typical Friday - aquarobics, errands, some housecleaning, reading, walking, and tonight a dinner party at friends' home. The hostess is offering pork chops, brown rice, and sugar snap peas. That'll work. :)
Today's theme: TGIF!

Just lost my reply - arghh...
I was very impressed when I saw your weight Ann! My eating has been all over the place on this trip. I have tried to straddle the line between eating how I should but not feeling "deprived". Way better than pre-WLS though. I think I'm going to go super low carb for a week when I return before weighing as I did when I came back from Aruba.

Your pictures are lovely, Liz! Really makes me want to travel internationally. DH is scared, though. Honestly I feel like anything can happen anywhere, anymore, highschools being chief among them :( Wow that went negative quick--what I was meaning to say was I love visiting other parts of the world and seeing how different and alike we all are!
Weight: 166.6
Been that way for a few days. I guess I should be glad it's not higher. The thought occurred to me yesterday--as I downed an entire burger, no trouble--"I'm not eating like a thin person." I'm certainly not eating like a post-WLS'er. I'm not eating like a dieter. I'm not even eating like a thin person anymore. I've been quite physically hungry recently. Like I'll wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning and be hungry. Is it mental? Don't think so. Could it be something else like heartburn? Possibly. HOpefully. I know appetite suppressants really helped me achieve weightloss last year, but eventually you have to stop taking them. I think I need to accept that for a little while I'm going to be hungry while readjusting to a new satiated state.
but this is not the weekend to do it.
I'm leaving Becca in good hands and about to meet DH in Vegas for my birthday weekend! He is working out of state TWO weeks in a row, so he'd be having to fly this weekend anyway, and figured what the heck, let's meet in Vegas. It will be just for 2 nights, and I'm still a little anxious leaving Becca. Especially since she seemed congested this morning. But this will be fun and will be a good adult break :) That being said, I don't expect to start my diet today! Luckily we usually do a ton of walking in Vegas, so hopefully the scale won't be too mean to me on Monday.
Greetings Friday Fun Lovers;
150.5 today. I am not happy about this. I blame the birthday cupcake even though I know one cupcake does not contain 3500 calories. I am questioning that math - people have different caloric needs so why wouldn't there be differences in individuals on how many calories it take to gain a pound of fat? Must research that one.
DH had a nice birthday. I gave him a card saying that I would still feed him and I would still need him even at age 64. And after watching the poo-pourii ads, I knew he would find them hilarious so I bought him some. Test drive may be underway. TMI. But he looked at all the commercials on you tube and laughed all evening.
I also got tickets to the local botanical garden gala for tomorrow. Its yet another serious dangerous food event because they have all these local fancy food tents and you can eat whatever you want. The good news it that touring the entire garden is quite a hike. Many acres. Also art displays and plants for sale. Hoping for sun. We will tape our football game and have that for the evening entertainment.
Art night at the gallery tonight and I am scheduled to work. I kind of hate being out after dark but one night won't kill me. There may be live music and I am praying its not the one lousy musician that we are often stuck with.
Liz great photos. Isn't it amazing how the British lay out tables with zillions of dishes, silverware and glassware? Dessert forks and spoons! We watch a British tv series and tea is always cups, saucers, tea set, plates, and a whole tray of stuff. Around here, tea is a mug in the microwave.
BB have a good Vegas weekend. Yeah, you can do a lot of hiking in that place.
Peps, hoping you find a comfort zone with food and eating. Sometimes it seems like the harder we try at this the worse things get. Glad the book is providing answers. I have totally failed to come up with my own plan and need to do so or I am just going to keep creeping up.
Well, time for more coffee, maybe a dog walk, studio visit before tonight's gallery event. Cheers. Diane S
