Wow Cecily! Hard to believe that was you. I think we all fight the food demons, but remembering where we were before WLS can shake us back into reality. I'm finding that I eat okay at meals here on vacation, but everyone has wine before and during dinner and then there is the shortbread... Both are adding calories I certainly don't need.

Shocks me too. If it wasn't so awful a picture that I didn't want others to see, I'd post it all over my kitchen and make it my phone wallpaper to remind me...

And shortbread is my favorite. Nothing like a tiny bit of flour and sugar to make you feel like you aren't basically eating a stick of butter in cookie form!

Don't be too hard on that girl in the top picture--Some of what you may be seeing there might just be a reflection of her brave efforts to protect, nurture, and maybe even survive. She was doing the best she knew how with the coping skills she had at the time. Out of her birthed the you and all the growth that you experience in the here and now.

Plus, just look at what she produced--the beautiful butterfly seen in the photo below. I kind of love both of the pictures. Thanks for sharing.

So sweet! Fergus wouldn't hang out on my grave for 5 minutes let alone years! Someone would just have to hold up a tennis ball and he'd say, "Nice knowin' ya. I'm outta here..."

Greyfriar's Bobby is a famous, famous, famous dog in the short legged terrier world. His story is widely know and celebrated. Skye terriers of that time are by some historians considered today's Cairn terriers. Cairns and Skyes both originated on the Isle of Skye and were interbred until they became two separate breeds. Scottish Terriers and West Highland Whites share much of the same heritage as the Cairn and Skye.

Greetings Tuesday Fun People;

Forgot to weigh today and now I have consumed too much to do so. Yeah, ridiculous attitude but there it is.

Liz your trip sounds so fun. Have a great time in the highlands and may there be heather i bloom. I'm with you on scotch whiskey - not my favorite.

Dave glad you checked in. GL with the surgery. Hoping it works out. Lovely little girls growing so fast. Thanks for sharing pictures of your surroundings. Those chickens need to get to work and make some big eggs.

Yesterday we went to friends for the holiday. It still astonishes me to see what people put on their plates and eat. I had a half sausage and one deviled egg after more than a few crackers with dip. Other people ate two hamburgers and an ear of corn and beans and potato salad and all manner of stuff. Gave me a belly ache just to look at the quantities. But of course I had room for a thin slice of chocolate cake. I was not envious of my friends so thats good. No food jealousy.

Today is a haircut, kiln check out, dog walk and maybe a little banking. DH wants to make a costco run which is much further away so he gets the cool car and I get the junker. HHHrrruuummmppphhh.

Cecily, glad you shared your picture. We all have a few of those dreaded ones. I would say forget that person except you are that person - just with a remodel. We all need to abandon our past feelings of self loathing.

Paula always good to hear from you. Hope your weekend was fun.

Peps have you named the J puppy yet?

Well time for a little more coffee and then start the rounds of errands. Peace all. Diane S
