140.2

It's been a productive day already--maybe it being a long weekend has given me a little extra space to enjoy the process of doing instead of having to focus on the necessity of just getting things done.

I have my first first piece baking in the kiln- and working on the next which is supposed to be a bust of a favorite musician constructed mostly with hollow pinch pots. (I'm doing Lyle Lovett- not because I listen to him much-if any, but because he has such an interesting face- and the HAIR!). Well, anyway- so much for pinch pots- I'm more or less sculpting and if Lyle goes into the fire as is he (and surely anything else with him) will blow to kingdom come. Thankfully, my instructor is being very flexible and is going to let me cut and hollow.

Off to the kitchen- DH, this week, has brought in several garden zucchini about the size of baseball bats. I have ignored them, and if I had my way would chuck them right back out in the garden from whence they came- EXCEPT- that I might hit DH upside the head BECAUSE he is out there now as I type looking for MORE to bring in. Geeze-Louise- guess I'm going to make a super batch of mock apple pie filling with them and throw the stuff in the deep freeze.

Have a wonderful and relaxing last holiday of the summer--my favorite season is about to commence--YAY FALL!!!

Hey good on you for sculpting. I love pinch pots. Cut and hollow works. There is a well know sculpture of rabbits who does this. Last name is Stritcher I think. Beth Cavener Stritcher??

My friends had so many zucchini they made a "speed bump" out of them and then ran over them with a big truck. I would gladly take such a zucchini and make fake lasagna noodles with it. Cheers. DianeS

Took DS#3 school shopping today and out f sushi. Mom got some new clothes too even though I don't need any! I just love buying clothes now!

DS#1 just found out that he (finally) got a job. Hope he can keep it and eventually move out!

Dating still going well. Sticking to just one guy and we are having a lot of fun.

Work good too. Picking up a few more hours.

Got to start on a budget. I still spend like I have Ben's income and I don't anymore. Time to see where I can pare down - um like clothes I don't need! Lol!
