Weight 119.4, calories 1038. I haven't been in my favorite range (115-118) since July 21 - a whole month! I think I have likely reset to a higher setpoint. I don't know if I'm okay with that or not. Though everything fits fine it still scares me.
Bonnie, did you see Kathy S's post about pancreatitis on the general forum? Could this be related to WLS? I'm glad they are catching it pre-cancerous, but I understand why it would be a lot to digest. I just looked up what happens without one and it does sound doable but certainly involves some dedication.
So today I am helping decorate for DS's birthmom's wedding tomorrow. Tonight we have company coming to stay here for the wedding (DD and new boyfriend and DS's birth cousin and her boyfriend). And in between out to dinner again! This dinner stuff wreaks havoc on my eating plans as well as my budget. Though I usually only eat an appetizer, DH has totally lost the concept of money and budget and always wants a drink, an expensive entree and dessert. He gets upset when I try to suggest something like a sandwich which he would be happy eating. He thinks he should get whatever he wants. Sigh...
As Diane says, time to get more coffee. Have a frugal Friday!

Yes, I did--what a coincidence-or-not. Haven't read it yet (just now I'm on an information overload), and I don't know if WLS had anything to do with it, but I do not think it is much of a stretch to conclude the 2 1/2 years of alcoholic debauchery probably did. Like I've said, some times the chickens come home to roost. Wether-what-or-if, it is what it is, and this is the new reality. Guilty but not broken, and I move forward.
I say let any guilt go. Lots of people drink excessively and don't get precancerous boogies.
And I can think of at least one gentleman, with perfect diet in every way who was also very active. He got diabetes, and as that was worked up, they found it was because the pancreas was full of cancer.
neither guilty or broken!

I agree with Ann - let the guilt go, as you have moved on in life and are far from broken (and should feel proud that you conquered it, not guilty).

Good Morning! It's definitely been an interesting, chaotic, scary week...school has not even started yet. We were delayed because of an "incident" on our campus. We enroll on Sunday and school starts on Monday. I'm ready!!!
My food intake this week has not been condusive to maintaining or weight loss.
I'm off today and will clean my house and putter. I'm trying to cypher through insurance and bills after having two surgeries in five months. I'm thankful for insurance; wishing it wasn't so complicated. My cardinals are happy! I replenished their food.
Bonnie, hoping that your treatment plan will not disrupt your life too much. So sorry you're experiencing this! Whatever will be required, you will be able to do!
BB's plans sound more exciting than mine. I will have dinner with friends tonight. Tomorrow, I need to bra shop!! I've put it off long enough.
Living through DianeO until we can live the RV life!!
Ann, I used to live in Missouri. Your place sounds lovely. I want to come to your kitchen as well!
Devon, enjoy your class! I know you will have them engaged in no time!
Dates, puppies, trips, school, art gallery and babies...enjoy your weekend!
Seriously, I'm thinking we need a Sleeve Maintenance Group Midwestern meet-up!

Hello all! First, a wildlife picture from my AirBNB:
There are a few of these trophies in the living room which reminds me of my childhood, but the view of the bay outside is incredibly lovely.
Yesterday's hike was good. It started a bit smokey but cleared (as promised) as time went on. The hike was a bit short but OMG strenuous at the top. Paula, you can use the stair stepper to prepare :) Or, we could choose one of the million other hikes that are more easily enjoyed. Come on out! By the way, I am also enjoying your full body plunge into the other side of life.
I think I'm canceling today's planned hike....it was supposed to be a 12 miler. But, as luck would have it, the air has not cleared here yet, it is still rated as "unhealthy for everyone"
I'm disappointed, but I knew that might be a possibility. There is no harm.....I'm in a lovely small city (Sequim, pronounced Squim) that I want to poke around in. It is in a rain shadow and gets less rain than the rest of the peninsula and is known as a retirement community. It would have both water views (for DH) and accessible nature (both flat and elevated) for me. I'll head to the ferries after morning commute.
Well, snap.....new data are in....air is improving. I think I'll head to the trail head and make a decision from there.
See ya later! Pics from yesterday below. Have fun, all!

Oh, Shel! I don't care where you retire, since it's bound to be somewhere I would love to visit.
Would you please retire soon? ;)
