DS's birthmom is getting married in 10 days and DS is cooking. They went over the menu last weekend and planned for everything including gluten free and vegetarians. I don't think they should have to do that. If someone doesn't eat what is the main meal I think they should just have what is acceptable (vegetable side dish or salad) or bring their own (IMHO). A LOT of $ and effort is being expended on the people who eat differently (more $ per person I think than the mainline eaters).

Two kinda fun pics for today. The first is me in size 6 skinny jeans! Vanity sizing is totally a thing here, but I'll take it.
Second is a pic from my trip to Canada (me in pink shirt with my family). I didn't know it was being taken and it's from the side, which in the past were the worst kind of photos for me - A) I couldn't even attempt to disguise my fat if I didn't know it was happening (and couldn't run and hide) and B) it usually showed me a horrifying version of myself that was not what I imagined myself to look like. This one isn't what I imagine myself to look like either, but in a good way. My mental picture is still bigger than this.
I'm off to walk now. Hope everyone has good days all around! May those who are wet dry out and those who are dry get wet!
PS - We have lots of smoke here in MI from the California fires. Puts their size in sad perspective.
Wowzer! Skinny-mini you! You are the most fit looking in that picture of some very fit people!

I am up earlier than usual today. It's a good thing. Kick starting the whole back to school thing. I guess by nature I'm not really an early riser. Maybe too many years doing theatre and working dinner shifts in restaurants when in my 20s. However, even as a kiddo I was not a fan of bedtime and didn't drift off to sleep like the rest of my family. My mom was a bit of a night owl, too.
Miss Bonnie, look at you - so nice and trim! And Cecily, for all the pain in the ass set backs of your PS, I do think the results are really exceptional! Congrats.
Diane O. I have seen some of the news footage of your area. Scary. You are so wet, and we are so dry. Opposite coasts with opposite problems. Wish we could meet somewhere in the middle. We could sure use the rain to help with the fires. The Redding fire isn't expected to be contained until September!
BB, I can see why you are a committed Oklahoman. I didn't realize how beautiful parts of Oklahoma are until I was researching a wilderness area in the state. If cost of living is "user friendly" on top of that, it's a win win.
Shrink session yesterday was a positive one. We did address one of my major triggers for eating - Ron - and how I can work on changing my reaction to the emotion that is the trigger to eat. That will be a toughie, but it is something I will have to begin to work on, if I want to get better. We also talked a bit about my interpretation of the JFDI concept. I want to understand what significant value eating non essential foods has for me. Logically, the food isn't working for me, but on some deep level, it sure as hell must be. My quest continues.
Dentist this morning, working with BFF on the grooming room finishing this afternoon, and training session at 6:00 this evening. A full day ahead. Tomorrow it's my first full day back at school - BOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (LOL - at least I do love teaching! I just don't love the bureaucratic BS that goes along with it!)
