Good morning.
Was up very early to wash outside woodwork and water the garden. Guests will be out all day today and we will meet for the Farmer's Market food extravaganza.
food choices yesterday was very poor. I knew exactly what I was doing when ate the chocolate and three large pieces of cake. I don't want to go all freaky but sometimes it does not feel like it is even me doing this. Do you know what I mean?
I have a friend who s an alcoholic. He had been sober for 10years. Family good, job good, nothing untoward that made him particularly anxious. One day he left work and "the car drove itself to the liquor store " and before he got the 10 blocks home he had drunk a large bottle of vodka.
was very sick and it took another 10 years for him to quit. He has been sober now for 9 years.
There are days when I feel the the "car drove itself to the chocolate bar". Does anyone else experience this?
I do know what you mean about the "car sometimes driving itself". I do feel that some foods can be an addiction and sometimes I break down. Fortunately I am good at getting back on the wagon right now at least but I am frequently aware that the urge is there.

Yes, I do know what that feels like.

Greetings my Pets
I'm baaaaaaaak. Whew, dog show weekends are exhausting even though I did't have all that much hard work to do. Just shlepping of stuff and one dog to look after. We stayed with friends who had a lovely comfy home and had a great time. Drank lots of wine. Thats probably why I am up to 150. Grrrrrr. But also we ate Dim Sum one day. Three little puffs and I was stuffed. My friend brought some fried chicken feet! The rest of us refused to eat them. I managed to trip on the door frame and have a big bruise on one thigh. Looks like a map of Africa.
Tesla didn't win anything at the shows. I am a complete klutz as a handler and just can't make her look good. Day two I had someone else handle her and she did a lot better. My friend got the major both days with her girl "Pink". I call her "Floyd". She will be finished soon enough. And I connected with my handler that I used for Chip so maybe will get him to show her. Anyway it was all fun but hot. So glad to return to the cool coast. We had to drive a really winding road due to other road closures due to fire. We could see a lot of smoke at times. So sad. I had to take the maximum strength dramamine but it worked fine.
Glad to catch up with ya'll. Keep on truckin' is all we can do and its enough. Liz sorry DH is progressing. No fun for him or you. But its so good you have support groups.
Shel, what a beautiful lake. Bet it has calcium along with the glacial copper.
Cecily, maybe you could venture a little into those places to walk. Can you take the dog? That would be fun.
Kiln opens today and will see what I have and get back to routine. Laundry, groceries and so forth.
My "touch point" devices arrived. they are some electronic gizmos that DH wants me to get to help with anxiety and insomnia. We will see how they work.
Shel, sorry your DH has the Barret's thing. Hope it can be treated well.
Travel her - good luck with the pot garden. We saw some large commercial ones while driving the winding back roads. At least the stuff you can get at the dispensaries is not full of rat poison and stuff. I only use a canabanoid creme but it helps the map of Africa bruise.
All the best. More later maybe as I return to my reality. Diane S
I've always been a klutz and often sport several bruises. It's a bit better now that I'm smaller (I used to bump into things more often in my 100 pound larger size), also I don't take a small aspirin daily like I used to and that helps as well. Though I do currently have a small bump/scab on my left shoulder from hitting something the other day. I don't even remember what it was because I do it so often I just put it out of my mind...
