It's Metrolink. You can buy a weekend day pass for $10 and ride all day getting on and off as much as you want. Pretty popular. A little further south from me and the tracks run along the shoreline and stops in a few beach towns and San Juan Capistrano in the historic old town (225 year old buildings with restraurants and stores and the mission). It's fun. There were a lot of families going to the beach in San Clemente and going back there was a huge bicycling club with 50+ bikes heading back from a 75 mile ride.
My poke contribution below. Let's all poke.
The food coop (conveniently located next to my gym) has small batch poke available most of the time plus super fresh/organic salad bar.

Greetings Poke lovers
148 today which is not bad considering how sedentary I have been . Even I couldn't stand it today - sitting in this dog training seminar all day I had to get up and walk around the little park several times.
News flash, Princess Tesla scored another major 3 point win today toward her championship and was also best of winners. Her breeder, Royal Oaks, really cleaned up big time at these shows as she got best of breed and group placements all four days with one female and her other female got a major and my dog got two!! People will hate us now tee hee.
Poke salad is so good. Haven't had it in a long time. Must change that. There is a sushi place down the street.
Liz, glad DH is doing better. But it is day to day. Someone said its good to have plans in place for the day that things are not ok.
Shel most of those goat pictures had an intense stare. Kind of the Anthony Perkins goat. Ok, maybe not. But he was definitely into you for some reason. Who knew there were aggressive goats? Goat-away spray?
Cecily, the train sounds fun. My brother used to live in Oceanside. I loved going there.
The dog seminar was all about how to play with your dog to de-stress it. Sort of gimmicky but there is some useful info there.
Bacon and tomato for dinner tonight. Thats about it. Off to gloat about Tesla wins. Diane S
Wow! Congratulations all around! What fun for the whole royal family!!!! Lots of pets and (therapeutic) play for Tesla!
After the goat passed me initially on the trail with a stink eye, I remembered I never got around to looking up what to do about aggressive goats. All I knew was "don't pee" because they want the salt in the urine and aren't always polite about waiting til you are done.
There's another hike I want to do over there eventually.....I'll try to look up goat protocols before that.

Hmmm, "stink eye" is what those pictures made me think. Well take a salt shaker and leave some.
I had a friend whose uncle was butted to death by a ram. Sad thing, but the follow up was they had to be very careful in planning the funeral - no stuff about the lamb of God or the Lord is my Shepard. .. ds
Well, spurred on by what happened to your friend's uncle, I looked up what to do with an aggressive goat. You should wave stuff like coats, or throw rocks....that sort of thing. I think your salt shaker idea is rather brilliant.
A big part of the problem, per the website, is that goats become habituated to humans more quickly than most large animals and are more likely to "stand their ground" rather than leave.
Males are more aggressive during mating season which starts Oct/Nov.
It also said (in bold font) that you are supposed to report a goat that comes within 50 yards of you. My friend was within 50 yards of a gazillion people. That ridge isn't even 50 yards across in some places. (It's not his fault, Judge!)
But, it doesn't matter much if I report or not. They were introduced to the park in the 1920's (I think someone wanted a population to hunt) so the park would like to humanely remove them since they are non-native.

I'm sorry, but I had to chortle at the phrases to avoid at the service. Not a common cause of death for sure.
